Author's Note: This is how I picture Sanem's style for a while in this story, so she's going to be dressed very practical and in some instances tomboyish. However later on you will see her adapt to her original style in the series. Also, I do not own Erkenci Kus nor its characters, this is just a bit of fun. This is also extremely loosely based on a couple of different kdrama plots, so you might see some cliches here and there, because I love them.
I also tried my hardest to research and honor Turkish customs and culture, but if I get anything wrong please politely correct me on what I got wrong and if needed to get rid of it.
Word Count: 4.6k (Will the rest of the chapters be as long as this one? Who can say? These are basically the lengths of the dizis themselves at this point)

Dear Reader,
There are no such things as fairy tales in real life, no matter how much I want there to be. I would love to be swept in a fairy tale romance to tell for the ages, but that's not practical. However, I do love to dream about them and what I want to do in the future. I have two main dreams: one is to be a famous writer and the second is to settle in the Galapagos. I need the strength and courage to believe there will be a happy new beginning somewhere out there for me.
Everything I do it's for my family, I love them, but I don't want to be stuck doing deliveries for the rest of my life. I want to write and be free, free to explore the world. I want to live for myself for a while, but I know I can't, not now at least but I have hope that that opportunity will come for me someday.
For now, I will have to continue to work tirelessly and summon my boundless energy to get me through the days to come. I am no Cinderella, so I can't wait for any Prince Charming to come to rescue me from my own predicament, I just have to overcome and work hard. Yes! That is what I will do.
Goodbye for now,
Sanem <3
She signed off from her diary entry and gave herself a little mental high-five as she went through her mental checklist of what she needed to do before she headed out to go to her different jobs. She worked for a local take-out delivery place, as well as her father's grocery store when he needed more stock.
Sanem is a very bright woman, she knows multiple languages which has helped her to be a translator for when people needed to translate documents to different languages. She wished she had more opportunities to actually speak the many languages she knows, but it was good money that she gave to her parents to help with the income of the household.
Her older sister Leyla is an executive assistant at some high-end advertisement agency, and oh how she loved Leyla but Leyla would constantly pester her to try and find and find a better job than just a deliverywoman. Sanem was strong as a deliverywoman, and she was a translator as well. At first, she thought Leyla was disappointed in her or didn't want to be seen with her because of her job, but she had quickly dismissed that and knew Leyla was only looking out for her.
After her pep talk with herself on facing the day, she grabbed her leather jacket, kissed her parents goodbye, and strutted out to begin her day with the deliveries that would come through her phone. Her boss had streamlined the delivery system to be on the internet so that once the delivery comes through she'd get pinged to come and get the delivery.
