It was finally there, after all these years, right in front of him.
Axel's steely grey eyes bore into the object in front of him. A book. To many it would be just a book, but to Axel it was not just a book. It was a book that his father died protecting, it was a book that tore his family apart, it was a book that killed his sister, it was a book that held many secrets. It was not just a book.
Axel was tempted to grab it and rip it to shreds, but he could not. He longed to find out what was in the book. What information could it possibly contain that made his sister kill herself.
The book's cover was covered in a thick layer of dust, so thick that you could not even tell what colour the cover was . It seemed like it hadn't been touched in many years.
As Axel took a step forward a strong gust of wind threw him against the cave wall. Axel felt a warm liquid trail down the side of his face.
Axel tried to stand up, but his legs gave out from underneath him. Axel's eyelids started to feel heavy, slowly all consciousness started to slip away.

Axel heard heard hushed voices around him, they all seemed unfamiliar to him. From Axel's common sense he could tell that they were all male.
"When is he going to wake up?" A voice asked.
"I cannot say." Another voice replied.
Axel tried to open his eyes, but it felt like they were glued shut, he tried once again to open them but everything faded into black.
Suddenly a loud slam silenced everyone in the room.
"Emerald, what are you doing here?" Someone questioned.
"I was bored! You can't just leave me all alone to come here, and attend this pathetic human boy, you make me feel lonely, and I never get to see the world I'm always trapped up in the palace, for goodness sakes I'm 22 years old!" A female voice exclaimed.
Her voice was as smooth as silk and laced with anger and sadness. Axel felt a strong wave of emotions rush through him when she heard her voice. He wanted to take all of her anger and sadness away.
Curious to find the owner of the lovely voice, Axel put all of his strength into opening his eyes.
Axel was suddenly blinded by sunlight, a muffled groan escaped his lips.
Axel saw blurred figures move around him. With all of his courage he managed to muster up he asked the question that was floating in his mind.
"Who are you?"
