“So you’re telling us that we have to go through 12 floors, full of riddles, just to ask you a few questions”, James groaned, summarizing what the Nigma ruler told us.

“Yep. And you three better do it fast, since you have a timed limit of an hour”, the voice stated, making James more angry.

“You got to be kidding me”, James exclaimed as the voice began to laugh.

“Oh, I was kidding… You only have a half hour to finish the maze!”

James was about to scream his head off when I covered his mouth with an extra bandage I had for my arm.

“It’s not THAT hard. Honestly, a three year old could finish it… But then again, fear-loving kids are extremely slow”, the voice bragged, making James rip off the bandage.

“Why don’t you show yourself, coward”, James yelled after he got the bandage off.

“To me and my people, brains are more important than looks; even though my looks are equally as brilliant as my intelligence. But, if you insist”, the voice said, egotistically, as a television screen on the wall, opposite the door, turned one.

All three of us became dumbfounded to see a stunning auburn haired, blue eyed girl grinning at us. With her light skin and short, straight auburn hair, the blue of her eyes pop out; along with her grin on her flawless face. Just by looking at her, I get an accurate guess that she is around my age, maybe a bit older.

“Hey look, it’s the Cheshire Cat”, I exclaimed, trying to break the silence.

The girl only laughed at this before she said,” Says the kitten herself. But are you now satisfied, crow boy?”

I turned to him to see him staring in astonishment. And I can’t blame him. The girl used a voice modifier, making it so she sounded like a guy; so finding out the huge brainiac is a very beautiful girl would make us shocked.

“I take that as a yes”, the girl continued, referring to his silence. “So, are you three ready for the first riddle?”

“Do your worst”, I exclaimed as I elbowed James in the chest, making him unfrozen.

“Ok then. You throw away the outside and cook the inside. Then you eat the outside and throw away the inside. What did you eat?”

Not even a second after, Julie spoke up by answering,” an ear of corn”. When she said the answer and crossed her arms across her chest, the girl pressed a button on her desk.

A second later, two cards fell down in front of us; one having a purple “R” on it, while the other is green.

“Kitty cat, grab the purple; Scare, grab the green. Crow girl, you answer the riddles. Now good luck on your first challenge floor”, the girl exclaimed before the screen turned off and the door opened, revealing a room full of hay. Well, a quarter of the room filled with hay.

“Guys, see on the opposite wall, that corn shaped hole”, James pointed out as Juliet and I saw what he was pointing to. “I bet it’s a jigsaw puzzle and we have to find the pieces in the hay.”

“Good enough for me”, I replied before I jumped into the hay to begin finding the pieces. After a few seconds, I found only one piece of the puzzle, it being made out of metal.

“Hey, move to the walls and stay there”, I yelled to Juliet and James as I took off my whip, which I had wrapped around my waist.

When we were driving here, I found out that my whip has a built in magnet running through it. Convenient, right?
