Chapter 12

WEEK LATER

SERENA'S POV

I smiled as I received a huge bouquet of red roses. I took the note and read it

"I Hope Your Day Is Filled With So Much Love And Happiness. I Miss You I Can't Wait To See You"

I missed him so much, he was on a business trip to Malaysia with his dad. We face timed everyday but it wasn't enough. We just couldn't stay away from each other. I smiled as I remembered his touch and kisses. I was going crazy and each day I loved him more.

I avoided Chase since that day. He sent me messages asking me to see him but I replied I was busy with work. I didn't want to worry and make Nate mad at me again.

"Ma'am your meeting is to start" the secretary said to me. I smiled and nodded at her.

"Okay I am coming" she smiled and left.

I entered the conference room, smiling. I saw dad taking to some men. He smiled at me as I went towards him.

"Dad" he smiled.

"Thank God you are here. We have a visitor don't be surprised" dad warned me.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Morgana will join us" I popped my eyes at him. "What?" I scoffed.

"I know but she is one of our investors so she has the right to join the meeting" dad was right.

"Are you sure dad" I asked. He patted my shoulder.

"We just act along. I am planning something" he replied.

"Okay" I sighed before sitting down on my spot.

Dad welcomed the members. Soon the door opened and Morgana stepped in dressed so elegant as usual. I couldn't deny, she knew how to dress very well.

"Mrs. Don Fabio" dad acknowledged her presence. She smiled as she marched in front. All eyes on her.

"Hello" she waved at all of us.

When her eyes met mine. She didn't seem bothered, she just smiled at me and I smiled back. She sat beside dad and I wanted to rip her apart.

Dad introduced her to the members as the new investor of VGC. They all clapped hands for her, she stood up. She then said a word of thank you "I am so honored to be part of VGC. I chose this company because I have known Diego since high school. He has been a workaholic since then. He surely did a great job in making sure the company is still firm over the years. Hence I have no doubt about my stocks in VGC. Long Live VGC."

"Long Live VGC" they all replied with round of applauses.

She shook hands with dad. I saw dad tensed a bit but he had to act along.

After the meeting, I went straight to the women's washroom. I starred at myself in front of the mirror. I heard the door opened and Morgana marched in.

"Oh here you are" she exclaimed. I rolled my eyes.

"You are really smart aren't you. What do you really want from us?" she put her purse on the countertop and pulled out her lipstick. She re-applied on her full lips then turned to face me.

"You know, I have nothing against you at all. Just don't get in my way Serena." I took a deep breathe.

"I know what happened between you and my dad" I stated. She sighed before saying "You know nothing Serena" she took her purse and left, but before she left she turned back and said "I am glad you chose to stay away from my son. She doesn't deserve someone like you" she then banged the door and left.
