On My Way Home(Again)

Trees flow past in smeared .green. Sunlight breaking through the leaves, hitting my face through the window of the car with every gap between the trees. There are gas stations, hotels, restaurants, and lots of road signs once we pass through another city but once we see the sign that says "leaving ____________________ city limits", we go back to seeing trees, trees, and more trees. Only with the occasional gas station, hotel, or restaurant poping out of nowhere every now and then. We stop only when needed and keep driving. It isn't until we see the brown sign that says "Huntsville State Park next exit," followed by the sign, not even a mile away, that reads "Entering Huntsville city limits," followed by, not even five miles away, the Sam Huston Statue that we have relief of sitting in a car more than five hours and able to see my family, old friends, streach out, and unpack what little we brought for the break.
