Chimon's POV
"Pluem, let's eat out for dinner together later," I said the moment he picked up my call. I wanted to tell him about the contract with Nanon. I don't want him to worry about it anymore.
"Sure. I'll meet you at your restau?" His voice was flaccid. I should prepare something delicious and refreshing for him.
"Okay. See you later," I replied, trying to sound cheerful. I wonder what he's been doing today. He sounded a little too tired.
"Chimon! We're about to shoot the ride scene," Nanon said, appearing out of nowhere. I nodded and slipped my phone in my pocket, following Nanon to where the bicycle was parked.
"The two of you will ride the bike downhill slowly, okay? Nanon, don't go too fast. Aside from that, you guys can talk about whatever." Nanon and I nodded and got on the bike. Then we waited for the director's cue.
"Hold me." What is he talking about?
"Quickly!"
"I'm already holding on to the rack, just pedal already!"
"You really make things hard." Nanon turned towards me and stared hard.
"What? They're waiting, you know." He miffly pulled my arms towards him.
"You're holding on to the wrong place." He started pedaling before I could react.
"You're so annoying!" I seethed as I held his uniform tightly. We rode the bike too fast for my liking, I accidentally bumped my head on his back when he suddenly stopped the bike.
"Cut!" Irritation vibrated through that director's word that I immediately got off the bike and apologized.
"Nanon, I told you to ride it slowly. And Chimon." I feel like Medusa was staring at me at that moment, and I can't look away. But then the director suddenly smiled.
"You don't have to be shy. You can hold Nanon tight, but don't hug him, okay?" An awkward smile emerged from my face as I nodded. It's as if the people around me are living a different reality.
"I told you to hold me," then Nanon suddenly walked in front of me and grabbed my hands.
"What are you doing?" I asked, panic evident in my voice. I tried to pull my hands away but Nanon pulled me closer instead.
"Here," he replied, almost a whisper, his hands placing mine on his waist. Then, he broke away all of a sudden.
"So we don't have to do it again," he added. I nodded, shaking the odd sensations away.
"Bring the bike uphill," I replied and ran away from him.
Nanon's POV
The first scenes we shot were outdoor ones, mostly either with P'Thanaerng or with Chimon. P'Thanaerng was easy to be with. She's a great actress and I think she's the reason why our scenes come out great. She's the one who had to portray a lot of different sides of her character. As for me, most of what I had to do is to smile, which is not difficult. Except with Chimon. Why is it so difficult for him to hold me? I don't want to think about it anymore, especially when he accidentally spat some noodles on my sleeves during our scene with P'Nara. Ugh.
Of course, I was fine with it. I'm forgiving after all. After throwing some spectacular shots at him during the badminton scene, I felt free of all the negative feelings.
"Cut! Let's have a quick break." I sighed in relief and thanked the crew who took the badminton away, before I went straight to the refreshments booth. I felt someone behind me so I decided to offer what's in my hand and just grab another one.
"Thanks." Oh. I also knew who it was by his voice even before I turned around to face him. It was Chimon. His tone was monotonous but he looked like he's upset.
"Are you okay?" I asked. He shrugged.
"You hit me in so many good places, including my heart. How am I going to be okay?" I smiled awkwardly.
"Sorry," I replied, although the evil part of me is actually laughing deep inside.
"Why does it sound like you're actually having fun?" Because I really am having fun. I know I should feel guilty but...
"We're even now."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"For making it difficult for you during the bike scene. And for spitting noodles at your uniform." I tried to suppress a smile.
"We're so childish," I replied.
"True. It was fun though," I swear I heard a little laugh in his tone.
"So you enjoyed seeing me bring that bike uphill all by myself then. And you really laughed when the noodles got on my uniform!"
"Maybe a little?" But then he burst into laughter. I doubt that it was really just a little.
"You're sneaky." I replied, but at the same time, I can't help but smile.
"I bet you enjoyed hitting me with the shuttlecock!" I stifled a laugh, remembering how he had to bring back the shuttlecocks after my every strike.
"Maybe a little?" But then I burst into laughter, and Chimon could only shake his head.
"You're sneaky."
"That's my line."
"And what are you gonna do this time to get back at me?" I shrugged, something in me stirred. It felt new.
"Break's over!" I felt a little disappointment that my time alone with Chimon is over.
"Let's go?" I asked.
"I'm not needed for the next scene. So, I'll rest here a little longer," he replied, sipping his drink thoughtfully.
"Alright then," I said and started walking to the set. But I suddenly remembered what Chimon talked about in the dressing room, so I walked back and turned around.
"I just want to ask, what were you supposed to say back in the dressing room?" he looked confused, but a beat later recognition dawned on his face.
"That? Nevermind that."
"Why?"
"No reason."
"Then what were you supposed to say then?" At this moment, he looked like he wanted to get rid of me.
"Nanon, where are you?" It was P'Thanaerng.
"Just a second, P'." I turned back, but Chimon was nowhere to be seen. Now, I'm really curious about what he was supposed to say.
