The crates piled high in the wagon as Connie threw the blankets on top of them. "Well, all the provisions are packed up." Connie let out a sigh as he turned and looked around the camp. "I hate being on the move." He walked past you as you looked around at the camp yourself.

All the tents were already taken down and all the wagons were packed. Jean was over by the horses, hooking the strongest ones to the wagons. "Y/N, mind helping me?" Armin taped your shoulder as he pointed to the stack of hay bales sitting by the fire. "Of course." You grabbed one in each hand and slowly carried them over to the last wagon.

"Are you and Jean really a thing?" Armin looked at Jean and then back at you. "I guess. We haven't really talked since the whole thing with Eren." You grabbed the hay bales from Armin's hands and threw them into the back of the wagon.

"Yeah." Armin quietly said as he walked away from the wagon to meet with Erwin and Levi. You walked over to the wagon that held all the tents and personal belongings. You placed one foot on the toe board and pushed yourself up to sit in the seat.

"Scoot over." You looked over to see Jean getting up into the wagon. You silently scooted as Jean sat down, pulling his pistol out of his holster and placing it on his lap. "I'm telling you this because I trust you, keep an eye open." Jean leaned in, whispering in your ear as he looked around at everyone getting into the wagons.

"I know. Armin already suspected there's a traitor." You watched as Armin got into the wagon with Hange, one of the ones in the middle of the formation. "Good." Jean clicked his tongue and slid his arm around your shoulders. "I'm sorry about the other day, things are just already tough with the Warriors breathing down our necks.

Jean pecked your cheek and you couldn't help but smile. "I understand. If anyone said anything about my parents I would react the same way." You rested your head on his shoulder and he took the reins and the wagons began to move.

You kept your eyes on the trees for any movement, just in case they already knew. The trees passed by you, soon turning into the plains. "Where is it that we're going anyway?" You asked as you brought your head up to look around at the area you were passing through. "I don't know. Some place Armin found that is secluded. They said it's close to a bigger town, which I don't think is a good idea." Jean shook his head and whipped the reins of the horse.

"I think there's a couple of abandoned cabins there that are basically almost shambles." Jean looked around the area and paused. "Y/N, look over to the right and tell me I'm not crazy." Jean tilted his head over to the right and you stood up a little bit to get a better view. It was hard to see because of the sun getting in your eyes, but you noticed what looked like the top of a hat in the distance.

"Someone's watching us." You sat back down, reaching into your pocket for something to throw. You felt the button that had fallen off a few days ago. You pulled it out of your pocket and chucked it in front of you, hoping it'd reach its target.

The button hit Armin square in the head, who was in the wagon in front of you. He turned around with a puzzled look plastered on his face. You pointed to the right where you had spotted the hat and Armin slowly turned that way. He stayed silent and nodded his head, whispering to Hange.

Hange turned around, looking at you with a devilish smile. She made the motion of a gun aiming it at the person. You nodded and slowly took your gun off of your back. You held the rifle in your hands, holding it up close to your face and taking a shot.

The sound of the shot echoed around you and the wagons stopped. With that one shot, the person emerged from behind the hill, revealing themselves and the horse, along with other men following them.

"Shit if that's who I think it is." You cursed as you reloaded your gun and aimed at them again. "We've got company!" You heard Erwin shout from the front, speeding up in the wagon. You took another shot, hitting one guy in his chest and sending him falling off his horse.

The others began to stand up, shooting at the Warriors who were following right behind your wagons. You quickly reloaded, taking less time to aim and more time to shoot. You were lucky as the bullets flew past you, not getting any closer to you. More of their men began to drop, either falling off their horses and getting dragged, or their horses falling, crushing them.

"Only a couple more!" Hange shouted as they shot with their pistol, bullet after bullet. You sent a bullet flying at the last man following you, hitting him right in his head and his body slumped over his horse.

You crashed back down onto the seat of the wagon, catching your breath. "That's my girl, look at you go." Jean smirked as he patted your head. You could feel your cheeks begin to heat up from his comment.

"What, you embarrassed?" He looked at you, his eyes focused on your red cheeks. "No." You said as you quickly whipped your head around so that he couldn't see your smile. "Whatever you say Miss L/N." He slid his hand down your arm, grabbing onto your hand and squeezing it tightly.

It was already nightfall as the wagons came to a stop. In front of you were a couple of small shacks that were falling apart. You could see Erwin and Levi stepping off their wagons. "Guys." You looked at Armin, who was standing up in the wagon and looking past you and Jean.

A chill went through your body as you stood up, looking at the wagon behind you. Connie and Sasha sat in the wagon behind you. Connie was cradling Sasha in his arms. You noticed the blood running down Sasha's arms as they hung limply. "Connie, what happened?" You asked as you looked at the boy. His eyes were wide open as he stared at the ground.

"S-she shot." He mumbled those simple words as Levi and Erwin came rushing to the wagon. "Sasha!" Jean leapt out the wagon and ran towards them. You trembled as Levi pried Connie's hands from Sasha's body. "God damn it, Connie! Let go!" Jean shook Connie vigorously as everyone gathered around the wagon. Connie dropped Sasha and Levi held her body up as he slid her out of the wagon and onto the grassy floor.

You jumped off the wagon, hovering over her body. You could see the two gun wounds, one in her chest and the other in his stomach. The bleeding had stopped, but the amount of blood she had lost was already too much. "She's gone." Levi said as he stepped back from Sasha and rejoined Erwin.

"W-what." Your lips trembled as you fell to the grass, taking her limp body in your hands. Her eyes were wide open, staring up at the sky as you shook her. Armin and Jean got on their knees, looking over Sasha's dead body.

"Wake up!" Jean grabbed her shoulders and shook her, tears streaming down his face. Your throat burned and felt as if there was a tennis ball stuck in it. Your tears dripped down your face, mixing with the snot that was falling from your nose. "She's dead." You mumbled, holding onto her cold hand.

"Connie, why the hell didn't you say anything?!" Eren marched towards Connie, grabbing him and tossing him around. "What the fuck, Eren!" You shouted, standing up and rushing over to Connie. "You were the one holding her god damn body!" Eren shouted and Reiner quickly grabbed him, keeping him away from Connie.

"She died as soon as that second shot hit her." Connie blankly stared at the grass. Eren pushed Reiner away, heading back to the wagon he was in. "We can't just sit here. People need to hep set up camp, others can bury Sasha." Erwin said as he began grabbing crates from the wagon. "Connie and I will bury her." Jean said as he picked up Sasha's body and carried her over to the river that was just a little ways from the camp.

You felt a hand grasp your shoulder and you turned around. "Come on. You and Jean will have that small shack over by the water." Mikasa pointed to the smallest shack and you nodded your head. As you made your way to the shack, you looked behind you to see Jean and Connie kneeling down in the grass.

The first death in the camp.
