I sat by the curb throwing pebbles across the street "Is this even necessary?"
"Oh honey it's only for a little while" My nanny carried the boxes inside
"Nanny you know for a fact that's a lie yourself" I turned around
"Kendall come on now" My mom yelled
"Mom for a little while means 5 weeks" I threw more rocks not paying attention to my mom
We move a lot, my mom doesn't like it when people find out her past, her nasty old highschool past. She feels embarrassed but me I feel bad for myself considering that the people I know, know that my mother was a hooker. She wouldn't let the past go, she should be proud that her skanky ass is a lawyer keepin me alive and my three other siblings and my dad staying put in New York I wish I'd stayed with him my parents are perfectly fine, they aren't fighting they have careers. They're happily married to which people doubt with the whole distance thing.
"Hey at least you're still a cheerleader" My mom smiled
"Not for Gilroy mom" I threw a rock that had a kid saying ouch
"Hey it's West Canaan, my first highschool it was pretty rad until I moved to New York. Texas ought to be good for you like it did to me, New York was bad for me for the last two years of my high school years" she sighed
"Go inside ma I've heard that story way too much" I threw another pebble that hit a man
I stood up and ran towards that aching man I've repeatedly hit, he sat with fairly nice blue eyes, dirty blondish hair, white teeth and a dimple.
I looked down at him with my hands in my pockets as he looked at me rubbing his head "You seen someone who's been throwing pebbles? I bout to beat his ass" He lurked around
"She- It's a she" I smiled
He stood up and towered over me "You throw good for a pretty skinny girl"
"Hey I have a fairly nice body okay, I'm not skinny not fat it's called a great body I can't call it perfect cause it isn't" I crossed my arms
"Oh alright then, you should try throwing less hurtful things you know something that won't make me lose my mind" He chuckled
"Pebbles were the only choice" I shrugged
"You new around Texas?" He asked
"Sorta" I closed an eye and kept one open with the sun hurting my eyes
"Lance, Lance Harbor you heard?"
I laughed hysterically "You mean haven't you heard of me? You've got some funny grammar Lance Harbor"
"I'm from Texas okay" He shrugged with a smile
"No you aren't your english is pretty clear, no accents"
"Doesn't mean shit, I was born here and moved to New York at 8 years old, came back to Texas at 10" He meanfully smiled
"Like you said doesn't mean shit" I grinned
"I'll see you around brunette" He winked with the thought of pissing me off
"Don't even" I left
I walked inside, straight into the kitchen and opened the fridge, it was so cold but so empty. It scared me that no food actually exists! I went out the yard and picked and apple coming back inside to only play with the apple, my mind playing that little scenario earlier at the bus stop with that blue eyed kid who thinks he's all that.
"Where you been?" Nanny asked
"Nanny tell mom I'm finding myself some food I'm starving" I grabbed the house keys
