The Dragon Academy

Chapter 1

Before I start I want to say that this is my first attempt at writing a book and as such my spelling might be bad so I hope you can read what I'm writing.
****************************** As Coenie got into his mom's VW city golf he thought that hockey practice that monday was good but he needed more practice. As they got home a black BMW M3 saloon is parked outside their yard."Mom why is there a car parked outside our yard?" Asked nita, his little sister. "I'll tell you in a minute but for now lets get inside."

Coenie as always went for the fridge to find some thing to eat. As he had something to eat he went to his parent's room to get to the TV. His mom was explaining why there is a car outside."I have something to tell you and it will change your lives. Our families are part of a rare race of supernatural beings,Dragons, we tried keeping you two out of it but looks like they found you. You will now have to go to the Academy to learn to control the dragon side of yourselves."

"Is there electricity there since I won't go without my phone." asked Coenie with a mouth full of carrots."Yes I believe there is so we will be in touch and remember your friends cannot know what you really are. You must go and pack now since you are going to the academy tonight.""But mom do we have to go can't I stay here with you guys and my friends." Nita said in an annoyed tone."No you may not stay since without proper training you may lose control and destroy a town.""Fine I'll go but understand it was not by choice."

A little later as Coenie decided what he should take he thought that being a dragon is a dream come true his sister on the other hand hated it.
