17. The Truth

Wilhelm, Simon and Lucas have been hanging out the whole weekend. They are best friends now.

It is Monday and that means it's school again. Wilhelm have been getting a weird feeling about Lucas. He feels like he haven't said the truth. Maybe he should talk to Simon to see what he thinks? Simon hasn't woken up yet so Wilhelm decides to wake him up so he have time to ask him before they go to eat breakfast.

"Wake up Simme." said Wilhelm while shaking Simon.

Simon slowly opens his eyes. When he sees Wilhelm he smiles.

"Good morning." said Wilhelm.

"Good morning. I like to wake up looking at you cutie."

"Shut up." said Wilhelm laughing.

"Simme? I have to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"I don't think that Lucas have been telling the truth."

"What do you mean?" said Simon confused.

"Well, I feel like he have been lying to us. When he told us why he started here it didn't sound that real."

"It felt real to me." said Simon looking weird at Wilhelm.

"I wanna ask him. I just don't feel it was real."

"Ok, just don't do anything stupid." said Simon serious.

"I'm not gonna do anything stupid."

"Ok. I believe you."

"Wanna go eat breakfast now?" said Wilhelm and kissed Simon's cheek.

"Yeah, why not."

While they were eating Lucas came.

"I'm gonna ask him after we have eaten." whispered Wilhelm to Simon.

"Ok. Just don't mess up your friendship." whispers Simon back.

Lucas came and sat across the table.

"Hey." said Lucas smiling to them.

"Hey." answered Simon and Wilhelm.

"Can we talk after we have eaten?" asked Wilhem, Lucas.

"Yeah sure."

Simon went to find Sara, and Wilhelm and Lucas got to the wardrobe to talk.

"Ok so what did you wanna talk about?" asked Lucas as they sat down on the bench.

"Well...when you told us the reason why you started here...it didn't sound that real."

Lucas looked confused.

"So...did you lie?"

"No of course not! Why would I lie about something like that?!" shouted Lucas.

"I just get this feeling when people are lying, and it didn't sound real!"

"Wow. You're such a nice friend." said Lucas as he stormed out of the room.

Wilhelm ran after him. He grabbed his arm, and turned him around.

"Never lie to me!" said Wilhelm looking mad.

"You're a nice guy. And because you're a nice guy, you're not gonna search about it even if it's easy for you because you're the crown prince." said Lucas with a teasing voice.

"What if I am gonna search about it. And you're right, it is really easy when your the crown prince."

Lucas got kinda scared.

"Just tell me the truth Lucas."

"Fine."

They went to sit down on the bench again.

"So...the actual reason for why I stared here is....my parents died in a car crash." said Lucas looking down.

"Oh I'm so sorry."

"Please don't say that you know how it feels." said Lucas starting to cry.

"No of course. Come here." said Wilhelm as he took his arms around Lucas.

Lucas cried on Wilhelm's shoulder.

"Do you have any siblings?" asked Wilhelm.

"No, I'm an only child."

"Ok."

"The reason I said that I wasn't ready to tell you and Simon, was because I needed to make up a reason." said Lucas as he took his head of Wilhelm's shoulder.

"Oh. It's okay." said Wilhelm as he took his arms off Lucas.

"I still wanna be best friends." said Lucas.

"We still are." said Wilhelm and smiled at him.

"Should I tell Simon?" asked Lucas wiping his tears away.

"I think he would like to know. Should we go to class now?"

"Yes."

"Why is you sweater a little bit wet?" asked Simon.

"Well.." answered Wilhelm while the teacher came in the room.

"Just tell me after class." whispered Simon.

The class were done and they went out in the hallway. Lucas came towards them.

"Ok so does someone wanna tell me what happened?" asked Simon.

Lucas and Wilhelm told him what happened.
