Chapter 45. Accident

Kris's P.O.V.

I really felt very uneasy. I tried calling Ji Eun but she wouldn't answer. I went back to the auditorium and pulled out Suho.

"Yah, Ji Eun won't answer. And Kai, too." I stated.
"What?" Suho asked.
"They're not here and they're not answering." I said.

All of a sudden, the we heard a loud thud coming from the sky. Then rain started pouring.

"Aish! It's already raining!" Suho shook his wet hands off.

My phone rang, and thank God. It was Ji Eun.

"Hello Ji Eun?!" I asked, panicking.
"Hello?" A man's voice asked, which made it confusing.
"Hello? Where's Ji Eun? Why are you on her phone?" I asked, in a tone.
"I'm sorry Sir, but she got into and accident. A car accident. I'm a nurse from the ambulance." The man replied in an uneasy tone.

When I heard that Ji Eun got into an accident, my knees froze. I couldn't speak. It was like I was out of words to say.

"Sir? Sir?" The guy asked.
"Uhh.. Sorry. Where are you? Where is she? Who is with him?!" I asked, panicking.
"What? What's hapenning? Where is she?" Suho asked too, with panic and worry painted all over his face.
"Sir, I'm sorry but we-" The guy on the other line got cut off when the phone signal went down to one bar.
"I'm gonna go, tell them to just receive my academic award or anything to be given to me." I told Suho as I quickly dashed to the carpark.
"What? No, I'm coming with you. Ji Eun's like a sister to me too, I won't let this pass." Suho replied with determination in his tone.
"Fine, but you gotta tell the others first that we'll leave early and that they should accept whatever our name's gonna be in." I replied.
"Okay." Suho nodded.

Suho ran his way back inside the auditorium and told the boys to just wait because they're going somewhere. After a few minutes, Suho got back.

"Let's go!" I said and ran straight to the car that brought us. I borrowed the key from the driver and started to drive.

"Where are they? What's happening?" Suho asked, worried.
"Ji Eun and Kai got in a car crash, I don't know where they are." I replied.
"What?!" Suho exclaimed.

Bad timing, it's raining, we're stuck in little traffic, and I can't barely see the road because of the heavy rain. All of a sudden, as I was driving, we saw police cars and red & blue lights in a specific area near the blind curve we always drove by. And with the help of the windshield wiper, Suho and I managed to see what's going on.

"Yah! That's Kai's car!" Suho nagged me.

I looked, and indeed, it was Kai's car.

"Cmon, let sneak and check if there's anything left." Suho said and went out of the car.
"Suho!" I shouted to call him back but it was too late.

He sneaked underneath the police line and looked for something from Kai's car. I followed him. We were there for less than a minute, and we had our hands on Kai's phone and a watch box. Suho and I ran back to the car. But one of the policemen caught us.

"Faster Suho!" I shouted as he went right inside in front of me.
"Faster!" Suho shouted.

Luckily, I got in and I speeded up the car right away. We went to the nearest hospital concluding that Ji Eun and Kai were brought there. Suho and I are cold and wet, but it wasn't a thing to focus on that time. When we got to the hospital, I parked the car anywhere outside it and ran with Suho inside.
