Chapter 21

"Taena Champion!" Yani hugged me after the game. Kinurot siya ng konti ni Charles at sinabihan tungkol sa pagmumura. Eto talagang si Charles.. hay nako. Hindi naman na bata si Yani.

"Pawisan pa ako Yani bitaw ka muna" I said

"Mabango ka padin naman" she replied

I hugged her but still patted her back para bumitaw na siya. Inabutan ako ng tubig ni Andrew who also congratulated me.. nakasimangot si Charles kasi natalo ang TVL niya but I just ignored him. Hinanap ng mga mata ko si Calvin.

Is he with Ava?

Someone poked me so I turned and it was Calvin grinning. He's smiling like crazy. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"Congrats! I knew you could do it" he handed me 3 pcs of flowers in a bundle. Nanlaki ang mata ko because it's my first time to receive a flower. Where did he get this? I didn't saw it earlier before the game when we were together.

Umirit ng konti si Yani so it attracted a few attention. Mas lalong nag init ang muka ko.

"What's this....." I always tell I don't like flowers but It feels surreal to receive one. Maybe I do like flowers. Also, I don't know how to react.

"It's flowers obviously" Umepal si Andrew. Siniko ko sya ng konti at nilingon. He just smirked.

"Iba naman talaga si bayaw" nagpapabida si Charles tapos tinapik tapik si Calvin sa braso.

"Hi Charles" he waved at him. In fairness, hindi pinansin ang bayaw remark ng kambal ko.

"Picture ko kayo!" Hirit ni Yani. She pushed me towards Calvin. We were so close and this is just the second or third time we've been this close since ever. It rarely happens. I could literally feel his skin on my forearms. It was smooth. His smell is hypnotizing.

"Smile!" Sabi ni Charles na nakatingin sa phone na nakaharap samin. Hindi pa ako ngumiti nung una kasi nagulat ako.

"Ate ngiti naman" nakasimangot si Yani sakin.

I was too distracted by his scent. It's normal for my heart to beat faster.. right? Since I did volleyball.

I tried to smile slightly and I heard the click

"Isa pa" sabi ni Charles. What should I do? Should I smile more?

I felt his hands on the top of my head. I was too stunned and that gesture caused my heart to explode. I'm a tall person and no one has done that to me before. Only he can, because he's taller than me.

Tumingin ako sa kanya while his hand was on my head. He smiled at me. I heard multiple clicks. Napatitig ako sa mga mata n'ya because it was too gorgeous.

"Are you uncomfy? Let's take another one tapos enough na. Okay?" He whispered. I nodded. My throat was dry.

His hands travelled from the top of my head down to my shoulder. Inakbayan niya ako. Pakiramdam ko namumutla na ako. But I smiled— with no teeth— for one picture nevertheless.

He fixed my hair before letting go of me "Dinner?"

Calvin doesn't mind driving for us, as he should, because only he has the car. Kasama pa din namin si Charles, Yani at Andrew. Andrew said that he has nothing better to do tonight.

We decided to have dinner with the said restaurant of Riri's family. Nasa gitna namin ni Andrew si Calvin.... Tapos si Yani at Charles nasa harap namin.
