Robin Lowis stepped outside the school gates and just saw Sky get into his father's car. He walked to his own car, got in and took his cell phone. Robin had received a message from his sister this afternoon that he had to come home immediately after school. When he had read that message, he hadn't even considered that it could be a serious situation. Now he was in his car, checking the message again. His sister was probably exaggerating again, but he didn't want to take any chances, so he went straight home. He started his car and pulled out of the parking lot. His father gave him a car for his 16th birthday. It was first an old jeep that he and his father had converted into a brand new jeep that everyone envied. It had been two years since he'd first pulled the car into the parking lot, and he already knew his car wasn't going to last until the end of the school year. Now he drove home as quickly and safely as possible to his sister. His thoughts raced; what is going on? What does she need now? Still nothing about mom or dad? Or with the animals? (Wait, we don't have any animals) When he got home, he saw his sister sitting on the floor at the front door. He pulled into the driveway, stopped his car, got out and walked over to his sister. Out of breath, he asked, "What's going on now?" His sister got up and came to him. to his sister. His thoughts raced; what is going on? What does she need now? Still nothing about mom or dad? Out of breath, he asked, "What's going on now?" His sister got up and came to him. "No house keys with you..." his sister replied with a faint smile. "Serious?!" Robin almost exclaimed. Do I have to come home so quickly for that? Couldn't you just say that?! He looked at his sister incredulously. I'm sorry, I had to send something, didn't I? his sister said to him. "Do you have the key now or not?" Yes, yes wait a minute Robin took the key to his house from his pocket and opened the door. He walked in and told his sister that he was going straight upstairs to study. He first went to the kitchen to get something to eat and went to his room. He took his books and opened his computer. This morning he had sent a message to Jane Newton, a girl in his class, asking if he could help her with an English task. Their English teacher had them read another stupid book in pairs, but because his class was odd, one had to work alone and Robin, of course. He was allowed to put together his speech all by himself. Mrs. Pots, his English teacher, had decided that four people were going to read the same book, but in different pairs, and that they would also have to talk about a different topic than the other pair. It was somehow a cool assignment, but the book he had to read, on the other hand, was the complete opposite of cool. The book was written by Shakespeare and was called Romeo and Juliet. An instructive book, but he hated novels. Love stories weren't for him. Probably the only two reasons for this were the fact that he'd never had a girlfriend before and that the only girl he had a crush on was just ignoring him now. And the thing that his parents were dead. Robin opened his mailbox and looked to see if Jane had already sent anything back. Yeah okay, he said aloud. Still no email then I'll have to work alone, huh Suddenly someone knocked on the door. "Yes?" he said faintly and his sister entered his room. Could you help me with my homework? It's English again that I'm tired of learning and I can't do anything about it, his sister said to him and Robin said just loud enough for his sister to hear: That's something we've known for a long time He stood up and followed her to her room. What are you supposed to do? he asked. Another stupid exercise that I don't understand, his sister replied shortly, pointing to her book. Robin went to her desk and looked at the workbook. "Is this seriously something I need to explain to you?!" he asked in surprise. The exercises were easy connection exercises that you could complete in five seconds. He turned and looked at his sister. "No," she said quickly without looking at him. Then what is so urgent to take me away from work? Robin asked her. "Your job? Are you sure that is school work and not checking your mailbox? said his sister with a small grin on her face. To the point, Robin said shortly and his sister quickly pointed to the window. He went to the window to see what was going on and suddenly saw someone standing outside. "Your job? He went to the window to see what was going on and suddenly saw someone standing outside. He went downstairs, opened the front door and walked out. "Hey," said the girl standing in front of him. Hey, he said back. Sorry I didn't reply to your emails she told him. I don't check my mailbox very often and only now saw all your emails. She looked at him with a questioning look so he said, Not bad. But why do you come here? Um she was face down, so Robin couldn't really read her feelings on her face and didn't know what to do. Before he could say anything, Jane said to him, "I had to deliver this to you." She handed him a gold envelope with his name written on it. He took the envelope and said, "Thank you?" Read this very carefully and come to the right place at the right time if you agree. Details are in there. replied Jane and turned. "Hey, Jane?" Robin shouted quickly before walking away. "See you tomorrow?" was all he could say. He knew it sounded stupid, but Jane replied with a smile and said, "Yes, see you tomorrow." When Jane walked away, he also turned and walked back inside. He went straight to his room, locked his door, sat down on his bed and immediately started reading the letter
