Chapter 4: Finding Her

Michael's POV
Last night did not go as expected. I was sure I'd win, but that rookie snatched it from me. She was good, but I wasn't in the zone I was distracted. The most heavenly scent was in the room, and I wanted to follow it. I crashed after the party. The next day I went out to the record store to just play around, and listen to music. I stopped when that scent hit me again. I turned abruptly to see a beautiful girl who was tan with dark brown hair walking in. I went over to her and casually bumped into her.

"Hey watch where you're going." She said. Her voice was like honey.

"I'm so sorry." I looked into her eyes which were burning with rage.

My heart exploded with love, interest, and so much more. I knew I had found her. I grabbed her, and pulled her into my chest.

"Beloved." I whispered into her hair.

"Get off of me you weirdo." She said pushing me away.

I looked at with with pure adoration. Then I felt a sting, and realized she'd slapped me.

"What was that for?" I asked holding my face.

"You grabbed me! DUH." She said.

I looked at her strange. She hasn't felt the attraction even humans feel it.

"You don't feel it?" I said speaking my thoughts.

"Feel what?" She asked.

"T-The attraction." I said.

"Um...No." She said with sarcasm.

"Why?"

"Look I know you are a vampire." She said.

It surprised me that she knew what I was, so why didn't she feel the attraction?

"Then you should know that you are my beloved." I said.

"No I don't have one." She said with a pained expression.

"Are you a werewolf?" I asked.

"What?" She said surprised. She chuckled and replied,"Sorta."

"What do you mean sorta? It's yes or no." I said with annoyance creeping into my voice.

"It's...complicated. Wait why am I explaining this to you?" She said.

"Bec-"

"MIKEY!" An annoying voice shouted.

I whirled around to face her the queen.

"Selena!"

Emilie's POV
Oh this was too good. This imbecile who Selena is smitten with believes I'm his beloved. How funny. I chuckled as Michael looked uncomfortable. What? Like I didn't know he was Michael Jackson?

"Um is something funny?" Selena said without looking at me.

I changed my voice so it was a little higher.

"Yes there is." I said

"Look," she said lower voice."I know you are one of the creatures I rule over. So you better change your attitude." She said.

I snorted,"Turn around you idiotic girl." I said with venom dripping from each word.

She turned around, and her jaw dropped while her face turned as pale as a ghost.

"Y-You!" She said.

"Hello Selena." I said with a smirk.

"No I got rid of you."

I grabbed her and lifted her up against the ball banging her head in the process.

"Listen here I'm going to take you down, but I want to make sure your lie is ruined before I do it." I smiled.

I grabbed her by the neck and bit her.

"What did you do?" She asked horrified.

"The first step in killing you." I said sweetly.

I dropped her to the ground. Then I walked over to Michael, and leaned in brushing my lips against his. I leaned into his ear and whispered.

"It's never going to happen."

Michael's POV
She stood up to the queen and Selena coward. The girl then walked over to me. She brushed her lips against mine, and whispered.

"It's never going to happen." In my ear.

I almost melted. I watched longingly as she walked out. Selena got up, and walked over to me.

"Baby let's go." She said taking my hand.

"I'm not yours Selena. I found my beloved." I said ripping my hand away.

"Who?" She whirled around mad.

"That girl you just ticked off."

Her face went pale then she screamed at me.

"NO NO NO! YOU ARE MINE!" She said.

"No I'm not."

Selena dropped to the ground then for NO reason.

I walked out of the room to try to find that girl. She was going to be mine one way or the other.
