"Good day Mr. Monte. Please have a seat," the interviewer enthusiastically said as she led her guest to the seat across from her. Then she fixes her stuff, preparing for an interview. They are in a small cafe near the school. A lot of students gather in place since the class is over.

"Good day Ms. Rosales," Mr. Monte calmly said as he nodded to the students who recognized him.

"We would like to send our gratitude for accepting our request for this interview. Considering that we will be asking some questions related to your profession, I am fortunate to receive your approval." Ms. Rosales said to straighten her posture.

"It's fine. I guess, my experience intrigued an honorable person like you." the man taps the desk bringing a heavier atmosphere.

"I will proceed then." She turned on the recorder and scanned the questions she prepared.

"What is your name? " Ms. Rosales asked

.

"My name is Federico Monte," he answers.

"What is your profession? " Ms. Rosales added a follow-up question.

"I was a Chief Superintendent," Mr. Monte says instantly.

Ms. Rosales looks directly at Mr. Monte's eyes. Without any fear and hesitation, she utters the question. "For you, what is duty?"

"Duty is something that we are obliged to do. It was strengthened by oath and responsibility" Mr. Monte shortly answered.

"Do you perhaps, fail to perform your duty? "Ms. Rosales inquired.

"Yes..." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Chief, the two buy-bust operations are successful. We received the reports this morning" the police said.

"Good. How about the operation in Guadalupe?"

They were walking to a pathway toward Mr. Monte's Officer. Everyone in the area greeted them. It was 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Policemen are busy with their paperwork. Some are chilling with coffee in their hands. Two missions are done, they are taking their time to take a simple break.

"There is a change of plan sir." The Chief Superintendent Federico Monte looks sharply at the police.

"Why Am I not informed about this, Quijano? Who decided about this matter?" The hot weather doesn't help the building stress of the Chief. He sat on his seat and look at the man in front of him

"The higher-ups made an order to give our full force to the hostage-taking happening right now sir. The children of senators, congressmen, and influential families are involved in this matter. " The tickling of the clock dances with tension in the room.

"The Special Action force is assigned with this matter. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency has another function."
