Dawn broke over what seemed like a gloomy day, but the sleepy town of Mystic Falls had no idea that three adults and a baby were on a mission to change the town and its supernatural beings. They had to protect good from evil and keep everyone alive, as dark forces were at play. All the key players, both minor and major, were in place for what could be the end of the world.

Harri kept the other two adults in her household on strict missions. Matt had school and kept an eye on the girls and the Salvatore brothers. Sirius was relearning magic and tracking how much it had changed since he fell through the Veil. He also babysat Teddy whenever Harri couldn't.

Meanwhile, Harri decided she needed to find the mysterious Klaus, who seemed to know something about her family and was showing an interest in her. Harri wasn't looking for a relationship, but if one blossomed, she wouldn't stand in the way of destiny.

The best place to catch Klaus was likely the Grill, where most residents went for breakfast. With that in mind, Harri decided to walk to the Grill, which helped her focus on what she needed to say to him. Dressed in black business pants and a white long-sleeve top with a bowtie at the neck, she felt ready. For extra protection, she kept her wand in her heeled knee-high boots for easy access.

As she arrived at the Grill, she glanced around and was delighted to see Klaus at a booth, as if he knew what was going to happen. Normally, he was at the bar. Walking towards him confidently, Harri felt all eyes on her.

"Excuse me, Klaus, is this seat taken?"

"No, darling. I believe you and I have a long-overdue chat."

Harri took her seat gracefully, and a waiter took her order of hot chocolate (Remus's favorite drink) and a bagel with cream cheese. As they waited for the food, Klaus and Harri made small talk about unimportant things, breaking the ice between them.

When the food arrived, Klaus told her the story of the Potters, her heritage, and what they knew.

"I met your great-grandmother Sophia here in America when she was young. She was on holiday, and she was beautiful and full of life. Sophia was a healer in training, and she knew I was a vampire at first glance. But instead of turning away, she saw that I was a tortured soul and wanted to help. She followed me to my cave, and I didn't notice until she was at the entrance. Without thinking, I sped towards her to bite, but froze when I realized she was a powerful witch from a prestigious and honorable line.

While I was frozen, Sophia made it clear she wanted to help me. She explained a blood-thirsting potion that would stop me from draining people but still keep me and my siblings alive. She didn't ask for anything in return, except to help her future family. She also had a greenhouse in England where she grew a herb that helped us not to sparkle or make us burn, similar to the rings the Salvatore brothers wear.

Over the years, every Potter family sent us secret messages with potions and herbs. I never met your parents, Harri, but I received letters from your father, James, who kept the tradition alive. I didn't know they were murdered and that there was a sole survivor. After 1980, I never received anything and assumed I was forgotten. Now, I will help you with whatever you need, and I hope we can find a path together."

Harri listened to the story, unsure of what to think. This was history she never knew. At least the Potters were loyal not only to their blood but also to those who sought help and those in the dark.
