3rd person POV
Kiki trained herself to walk around her room and acted like she hasn't been learning when someone walked in to check on her. She finally got the hang of walking around after 4 days of practicing. Once Monday came around, Peso went to check on Kiki and saw her reading the book that was beside her bed. Peso smiles and pet Kiki. "Ah!" She flinched and looked beside her to see Peso, who was ready to give her another checkup. He started off the checkup and she was quite healthy. That's when the walking process came. Obviously, Kiki had to pretend to fall over multiple times, but not too many. Then, Kiki had enough of faking her failed attempts, so she walked to Peso from one side of her room to the other without fail. Peso's eyes widened and Kiki folded her arms and smiled with glory. "You succeeded. You're finally able to walk after a week!" Peso praised as Kiki looked to the side and her smile faded. "Actually, Peso.. I've been teaching myself how to properly walk after my last checkup. I know you said I probably shouldn't, but I couldn't help it. I'm sorry.." Peso wasn't expecting this news from Kiki.Kiki's POV
"Well, that's something that I'm quite surprised about-" he got cut off by the Octo-alert. I lowered my ears cause I'm still not used to it. "Stay in here, I'll tell them you're resting." Peso shouted over the Octo-alert. I watched him leave and I just shook my head. I followed him to the HQ and nobody seemed to notice that I was there. I couldn't really make out what they were saying, but what I heard is; "Peso, to the Gup E!" And it scared me, so I just climbed down and quickly jumped into the Gup. I hid in the back and saw the two get in the front. I'm glad I wasn't seen.(SORRY TO INTERRUPT THE STORY BUT I PUBLISHED TWO NEW STORIES! One's called: "Camping" and the other is: "The Cursed.." You can find it in my profile or you can search it up! Anyways, back to the story!)
They got out and went down to a.. sunken ship? I was so confused on why they were here. That's when I saw Kwasii. (TW! Blood) His face had bloody and deep scars on his eye that's usually covered by his eyepatch. His stomach looked like part of it got chopped off. His tail.. It was literally covered in blood. Not a single orange splotch in sight. It was so bad, I almost threw up. Kwasii got in and Peso treated him. The captain took the wheel and we all went back to the Octopod.
Captain Barnacles's POV
We got back in and I carried Kwasii to the sick bay for him to rest. "He has severe injuries along his back, tail, and eye. His stomach isn't too bad, though." Is what Peso told me when he passed out in the Gup. He was breathing, I heard it. I came back down and saw Kiki sitting by the water in the launch bay. I smiled and pet her. "Hey, Kiki. Can finally walk now?" I asked. No reply for a bit. Until she said: "I know you said I can't go on missions until I was stable, and I am. But I snuck in the Gup just to go to the mission with you and Peso.. I feel bad for Kwasii.. is he okay? I'm sorry.." she buried her face in her hands. I kneeled down beside her. "He'll be okay, and I thought I saw a black little ferret in the back." I smiled as she looked at me. "You saw me in the Gup?? You seemed like you didn't!" She couldn't believe I saw her in the back. I chuckled and pet her. "Yes, I saw you. Now, to your room, please. Tweak and I have something to discuss." She nodded and went up to her room.Kiki's POV
It was dark seas as I was getting ready. I still couldn't believe he saw me! But enough of that, I got under my covers and pulled them up to my chin. Just how I personally like it. I turned off the light beside my bed and got into a comfy position. As I drifted off to sleep, I heard these words beside my ear..."We WILL take you back, you have no choice, Kiki.."
