SUMMARY: Jorja Jennings has been in love with Pope Heyward since she was old enough to know what the word 'love' meant. Their fathers being lifelong best friends meant the two were raised together, and grew up together. Jorja is loud and easily angered, and Pope is kind and patient with her, always being the one to calm her down. While all the other pogues know about her crush, Pope stays completely oblivious to the romantic feelings Jorja tries to throw his way.

Topper Thornton is a kook that Jorja hates with every ounce of her being after him and Pope get into a violent altercation. After Jorja makes it clear she'd fight back against the kooks even if Pope didn't, Topper gains the same hatred towards the annoying girl. Until Topper eventually realizes Jorja's attitude comes from her rejection, and Jorja sees that Topper's anger comes from his loneliness.
