In the beginning, there was thought to be nine. Nine Loric children that came to Earth on a spaceship after their home planet, Lorien, was demolished by their enemies, the Mogadorians from planet Mogadore. The mogadorians aimed to kill the Lorics, but these nine escaped with their guardians, Cepâns.
Each of the nine children have a set of powers called legacies. These children are referred to as Garde. They were put under a charm by the original elders of Lorien so that they could only be killed in number order.
As I said, there were only nine known Garde, but nobody, not even the nine the Mogadorians know about know who I am, or who Ella is.
Her and I came to Earth on a second ship full of chimaerae, shape shifting animals from Lorien. We came with our unofficial Cepâns, Crayton and Lexa. Lexa is mine. Ella and I agreed that she is number ten and I am eleven. We have powers just like the rest, but weren't put under the charm.
When our ship landed, we got separated. Lexa and I went off to Michigan first, and I took one Chimerae with us.
We have been to Poland, Japan, Germany, and now, where I currently am, Michigan, in the USA!
That is where this story starts.
