My heart skipped a beat when my dad said those words. It made me somewhat certain that somehow whatever I was thinking was true. But, I was having so many mixed thoughts that I couldn't actually infer what was right and what was wrong. It probably sounded messed up and didn't make any sense. But honestly, if something could confuse me, it had to be something really insane. Maybe, I was the one making it insane by staying in the phase of denial. However, we still didn't have enough evidences and we still didn't have answers to all of our doubts.

"I really don't wanna sound like I'm trying to intrude your personal life," he clarified, "But, I came across Ariana's information file and there's no information about her father and her life before she was twelve."
I couldn't hide my apprehension anymore. My face was weighed down by anxiety. I looked at my dad with perplexity and worry.
"Didn't you say that the girl was 12 or 13 when she got you and Emma kidnapped?" he added, "Ariana's past life until she turned 13 has been missing all this time. You don't know half about her. Do you think all of this is really a coincidence?"
"The age... It was a mere guess," I uttered, "I can be wrong."
"Is Xander Stefani saying that he can be wrong?!" he repulsed out of confusion.
"I'm a human and I can make mistake," I said.
"Xander, how can you be so sure that SHE ISN'T THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE?!" he growled.
Hearing that, made me snap, "DON'T YOU DARE CALL HER A MISTAKE, DAD! WE STILL DON'T HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCES TO PROVE YOUR POINT!"
"What the hell has happened to you?!" he exclaimed with pure frustration, "Why are you acting so blind?! Why the fuck will you need anymore evidences when things are fucking clear?! Be rational for fuck's sake!"
I sighed. He wasn't wrong. But, all of this was making me feel impotent.
"Dad, I get your point but-" I gulped, "She can't be her."
He rolled his eyes and looked away as I continued, "Desmond loved his niece but he tortured Ariana and let his men rape her."
"DESMOND LOVED HIS BROTHER BUT WHAT DID HE DO?" he yelled, "KILLED HIM."
This also made me realize that just like Desmond's niece, Ariana's father was also killed by Desmond.
