12. Revelations

"So" Damon began talking in Alice's study," You know kol Mikaelson ? He is in desperate need of a ring that was given to her "He pointed at saivy," by a witch, Sylvia Hall . Does the name ring a bell?"

" Yes, ofcourse.  She was one of the strongest witches of Azelway. What about her? "

" We were hoping you could tell us why Kol needs her ring?"

" Well, it's a vague question. There could be a million reasons why he would want it. It belonged to a strong witch, maybe he's in need of her power"

" What would a vampire need from a witch's mojo?" Asked Aaron.

" Maybe he has a witch who'd access that power for him" Alice said, "could you tell me more about this ring , describe the stone?"

"White-pinkish" saivy said.

"Not blue enough to be a daylight ring" Damon added.

Alice looked at them with a confused expression.

She said," Come here and identify it"

Then she gestured Saivy and took out a large old book from her shelf. She opened the book and it contained numerous pictures and information regarding different stones. Saivy started looking at them. Some looked different, some looked similar, but each one of the stones in that book had its own characteristic look, something peculiar about it that distinctly differentiated one from another. After flipping through a few pages she stopped and gazed at a page. She put her index finger on one of the images and said,

"This one. It resembles this one the most"

Damon looked at the picture and nodded in agreement.  Then he looked at Alice for answers. Her face was still, as if it was frozen, expressionless but overwhelmed with something. 

"It's the Zhen stone" Alice said," This stone holds enormous power. Anyone with its possession would be...mighty ."

Everyone looked at her with awestruck faces. Saivy could not process that information.  The ring she'd been wearing for so long turned out to be so powerful.

" Are you telling me, the very powerful and dangerous kol mikaelson , is even more powerful and dangerous now?"
Said Damon, now alarmed.

"Does he really have access to the enormous power that you're talking about?"  Asked Aaron.

" Most probably."

"What does that mean?" Saivy asked instantly.

"The ring was given to you by Sylvia who is dead now. After a witch dies ,her power is not really that easy to access unless it is being accessed by her own descendant ,which she doesn't have any, or by someone she consentually gave authority to" Alice said , her every word striking like an arrow ,"meaning you, Saivy"

Everyone looked at Saivy. A strange silence struck in the air.

"But I had that ring for so long , why haven't i been able to use its power ?" Saivy asked.

"Come on darling. I can't wait anymore. You've been doing this for a while now" Said kol to the green eyed girl who accompanied her," show me the power of the ring ,scarlett"

"I'm trying.  It doesn't work" said scarlett.

"The ring works fine god dammit! Don't tell me you can't turn on its power"

"I can't.  I think, it's locked. "

"Well, how do we unlock it then?"

"Fair concent from the former owner, the girl you took it from"

"Well, then I'll just force her to give consent"

"The whole essence of consent is to not force ,but we don't need that . All we need is her blood and then we can access its magic"

"A vile of her blood? That's it?"

"Yes. Just a drop of her blood on this ring and then you can become more powerful than anyone"

"Great . All I need to do is give her a little love bite and take her blood in the process "

Kol smirked .

"My blood is the key to access its power? Does that mean kol doesn't have its power?" Asked saivy.

"....Yet" Damon added as if finishing the sentence for her, "Can kol access it through her blood?" Asked damon.

Sylvia sighed . Damon knew the answer but still she said it out loud,

" Yes ,he very well can. And this fact haunts me deeply, Damon. God knows what that boy is up to"

"He could use it to ......end world hunger or wars...." saivy said trying to avoid the seriousness of the situation.

" Have you met him?" Asked Aaron.

Damon said,"That guy snatched the ring out of your finger because he wanted it. What do you think he needs it for?.....oh I know .... not something good!"

While damon said all that in anger, Sylvia went and got a crystal charm out of her closet and then she started chanting,

" tres matos benedici questo incantesimo con il potere di proteggere da qualsiasi mostro."

The crystal shined.

She then said," Here, take this and wear this necklace at all times. The charm won't let kol touch you . It will protect you"

"Thanks"

Saivy said, taking the charm from her . She was surprized to see how quickly Alice helped them after knowing kol was going to come after her. Damon slightly bowed in gratitude and soon they left.

"Wow, she helped us without even thinking twice" said saivy.

" Don't be too flattered. Kol isn't exactly a fan of witches. She had a personal stake here" said Damon.

"How old is she?"  Asked scarlett.

"Looked chirpy like a 17 year old" said kol.

"As a vampire, kol"

" I don't know. Looked young, why?"

"If she's younger than a year, her blood won't be powerful enough. We would also require blood from her sire. Would that be possible?"

" huh, ofcourse. All I need  to do is bite one more person" kol said and a mischievous smile formed across his pretty face.

"You know who her sire is?"

"Who other than the one she keeps following around like a little dog wagging its tail....?"
