✧・゚: *✧・゚:*Anna is at university in Camden when entering a bookshop walking home she grabs the same book as Helena.
*The door slams loudly*
'fuck' i held my head as i tried to concentrate on the lecture before me i was exhausted.
'why can't you love me?' Maddy's voice echoed in my head, my ex well that was a long story did i love her? i did she was like my best friend, but she knew i craved more.
when you put it like that it it makes me sound like a bad person she was my girlfriend but she wasn't my type my true attraction. an older woman but in society i mean is that normalised? hardly so when i wanted to find that i set out to not lie to myself anymore.
does that mean i'm a bad person. i'm not sure.
the possibility of me finally trying to find this relationship had proven hard, christ i'm depressed she was the only person i had but i just didn't feel right so i do choose my truth or live never truly happy.
'Anna the lectures over, you okay hon' i looked up at the petite teacher id only just know 2 weeks prior
'yea i'm good, just don't feel to good' i faked a smile
'get yourself home and rest up, too many late nights' she smiled back
'don't worry about your essay for now just focus on getting some rest' she picked up her bag packing away her things
'thank you, see you next week' i smiled leaving the room quietly.
why i went to university i don't know a distraction maybe, its just so lonely here.
i walked home my usual way a typical winter night my black fur jacket clung to my shoulders as Stevie Nicks echoed in my airpod's i noticed a small bookshop. i love to read, i have fazes where i read so much then i don't read at all. i just want too, finding things to do days by yourself can be hard.
i was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of the bell of the shop door. i looked around not noticing anyone one else in the shop except the cashier
i continued down the isle studying all the books intensely coming a cross what looked to be a 'LGBTQ friendly' section
i chuckled slightly too loud noticing a familiar face on the front of a book
'Carol' the face of the gorgeous Cate Blanchett on the front a book id read constantly the film even more beautiful. i did turn to look up at the harry potter section but then deciding on carol i turned back to grab it accidently feeling the touch of a warm hand who's hand was also fixated onto the book
my eyes were drawn to her immediately her dark brown eyes met mine as i realised who she was
'fuck' i cursed as she smirked towards me her eye looking at my hand still on hers
'fuck sorry i didn't see you there' i apologised stuttering slightly as my eyes traveled across her face again and down her lightly tanned neck, to her generous cleavage
'eyes are up here doll, judging by your face i'm presuming you recognise me. you don't mind not saying anything it's hard to go out sometimes you know' she smiled softly as i nodded my eyes wide, what did she just call me.
'i promise Mrs Bonham Carter, i completely understand' i nod
'call me Helena, and me and Tim's divorce was finalised a few months back so it's Ms' she shrugged her shoulders looking down at the book we both left
'here' i picked up the book putting it in her warm crimson painted nails
'i have another copy somewhere at home, it's one of my favourite books' i smiled brightly as she smirked
'i haven't read it, maybe you'd like to read it together sometime?' Helena walked towards the counter with the dark haired girl, the blonde strands at the front of her hair making her green eyes shine brightly
'really, i mean i'd uh love too, i'm here for uni so my copy is at home home' i blushed what the fuck is happening
'i can have the kettle on in 10, message this and i'll send you my address' she put her purse away and carried the book under her arm as she passed me a folded piece of paper
'oh i didn't catch your name' the eccentric woman spun around nearly knocking herself into me my arm distinctively wrapping around her waist to avoid her falling
'Anna' i smiled as she tapped my fur covered arm
'beautiful' she said softly next to my ear
before walking out into the streetwhat the hell just happened
