"They kissed! They kissed! We're going to be human again! Look out world Lumiere is back!"
Lumiere spreaded his arms ready to embrace his old life. He noticed after awhile, nothing happened.
"What's going on? Why am I not...human? Where's my hand, my legs?" Lumiere touched around his body to feel it the same."Oh Lumiere, just because they kissed doesn't mean they're in the same page. One might feel the love but one does not. A simple kiss is not it, one can give it but giving it with your heart is another." Mrs. Potts signed. Rest of the crew followed, all disappointed and sad to the turn of the events.
"But despite of all this, let's not lose hope. There's still...time." Mrs.Potts encourage the sad faces of everyone.

The two parted their lips, opening their eyes slowly, Hiccup could still feel her soft lips on his own. He started to regain his thinking and soon widen his eyes at realizing what just happened."I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-I got caught in the moment and-"
"It's alright, you didn't mean too. It was an...accident." Merida face fell into disappointment but soon brush it off before he noticed. She took a deep breath shakily trying to slow down her beating heart.
"The song...it belonged to your parents?"
"Yes. Do..do you want to take a walk down the garden?"
Merida nodded her head and the two headed towards the big glass doors and touched the cold chilly air of the night.
"It's a beautiful song. It really shows how two lovers, love not for what they have but what they can give, no matter the circumstances."
"Yes it is...my father composed that song when he was going to propose to my mother."
"He must of been a sweet man."
"He was. He loved my mother from the very inch of his bones, more than anything in this world. He was willing to throw away his life he knew if my grandparents didn't let him marry my mother."
"Who wouldn't. When you have someone you hold dear, you wouldn't want to let them go." Merida turned to look at him in the eye, holding his gaze.
Hiccup's breath hitched.
"I guess your right. Did you enjoy tonight?""Yes, thank you. I've never been treated to something like this. I've been use to just being.....I don't know...wild I guess. I never thought to see this side of me, it feels good."
"I'm glad."
Silence fell between them, each one in their thoughts.
"I like being here. I mean don't get me wrong I don't appreciate being held against my will but I've learned so much about what's out in the world and I did ask for an adventure which I guess I got and I've learned things about myself that I didn't know was possible....but..still. If.....I..were to learn or even break your curse..would you...set me free?"
Hiccup breath hitched at the mention of his curse. He turned to look at her, his face changing to a stern look and looking at her straight in the eye he responded with the truth of his heart.
"Yes. If that is your wish I will hold my word to you."
Merida could only smile and nod at his agreement.
"Y-you better head back it's getting colder and you need some sleep. I'll have Lumiere escort you back to your room."
Merida face fell when he mentioned going back and Lumiere escorting her. She wanted a little more time with him.
"Thank you.""Lumiere."
"Yes young master?" Lumiere appeared hopping, Merida noticed a glum look at the little candle man.
"Escort Merida back to her room."
Lumiere was taken back to Hiccup's request but knew not to question it.
"Yes of course. Please do come with me lass."
Merida took one look at Hiccup, to see him lost in thought, his gaze looking out into the unknown far beyond his cell. She started to walk back giving out a small sigh before she heard him called out quietly. She turned to look at him but he was still looking out into the dark void.
"Even if you don't break the spell...if I disappear one of these day, you are free to go. Go and don't look back. Don't find me and forget about everything you see here and you gotten to know. Forget about the curse, forget about the friends you've made here, forget. About. Everything and everyone. Forget about me....and...don't ever return."
