Red Roses Are Much Prettier.

There once was a beautiful prince by the name of William and he was the prince of Akino meaning my rising sun in his native language. William was set to marry Elara the princesses of Luna meaning moon in her language. As you may tell they are quite literally each other's opposite which is why they were going to get married. It was a truce. It was meant to bring both nations together.

The wedding day was approaching and the mood around the castles started to get heavy. In the castle of Luna Princess Elara was getting ready but not for her wedding. She was getting ready to run away with the prince William of Akino she had met the summer before. She didn't want to marry a man just because her parents told her to, she wanted to marry out of love, and although the man she was going to marry was a man she loved she felt that it might still be forced and she wanted to take matters into her own hands. Princesses Elara and William had made a deal to meet at night behind the castle in the rose maze that stretched for miles and miles. But she first had to actually escape her guards. Elara peaked off her room door every so often to check the pattern of the guards. She came to find at 8:00pm the smallest guards were set in front of her door so this was her moment. She waited and waited till it was time for her plan to be put into action. Elara had stolen some black gear from the knights weeks before in order to camouflage with the night's dark atmosphere. Elara peaked through the door one more time and the guards pushed the door back inside, and she fell to the ground, Are you serious! she exclaims. But no response came from the guard. She got up and went to her dresser next to the window where she hid the love letters sent to her by her dear prince. She read the last one that was sent and it read:

To my dear Elara,

Since the first time I saw you, I knew we were meant for great things. You remind me of the white roses behind your castle, so delicate and innocent. And I know our parents won't like us running away together but we could still give it a chance. I love you with all my heart my dear sweet Elara. And I want nothing more to be forever with you and break this pattern of war my family started. Neither side is gaining any ground. The battle seems to be endless but with us tomorrow night by the white rose garden behind your castle we can meet and run away together and be free and happy. Ill love you always.

She hugged the letter tight to her chest and whispered, Im coming, my prince. She looked out the window of her room and saw it was a deep drop. Although scared she slowly got on the outer edge of the window and jumped down to the nearest balcony which was a floor door. Once she landed it made a loud sound. Which alerted the guards in the room that connected the balcony. Who's there! a guard yelled and she got startled and bumped her back against the balconies railing and fell backwards. Hitting back against the ground. Stupid guards. Elara winces as she gets up slowly her whole body is aching. I have to get there no matter what. she thought with an image of William in her head. Since she had made such a loud sound getting other balcony all the guards were now out looking for an intruder. This was only going to make it harder to get to William or so she thought. Elara starts to run to the back of the castle where she hears one of the guards ask, Prince William what are you doing here? And he responds Doing something my family should have tried a long time ago. The guard raises his guard up still in hatred towards the Akino kingdom and Elara jumps out from hiding and says Wait no hes here because I asked him to be. The guard put his sword down and ran towards where the other guards were headed. Thank you, Princess. Prince William said with a charming smile. William grabbed Elaras hand and he led her to the white rose garden. There were no guards to be seen anywhere which was strange. But Elara put not much thought into it. I mean she was with her prince charming now. Rain starts pouring down as they arrive at the garden. They hide behind one the white rose wall. And William says, Elara I need you to stay here while I get the bags I had a little earlier. Elara nodded and he left. The rain started to fall faster and harder. And soon after it started thundering. Elara kept waiting for William to get back but she had been waiting for what seemed to be an hour under the pouring rain and loud thunder that made the ground shake. But then she heard the splashes of someone coming towards her and she got all excited and spoke out and there he was standing there, Prince William your back! her face glowed up and she ran towards him saying I thought you might have changed your mind-. As soon as she hugged him she felt a sharp pain in her stomach as the prince ran a sharp knife into her abdomen and pulled it right out spilling blood all over the white roses painting them red. Prince? she says as her legs weaken and she falls to the ground. She looks down and back up in pure disbelief. It was always about revenge. he says as he squats down and grands her gently by her face. I was never in love with you. I just wanted to lure you here in order to kill the only and last heir to the Luna thrown. I did what my family couldnt do! Prince William lets go of her face. And stands up putting his hands out to the side looking up while the rain falls on his face, I did it! He yells on top of his lungs as he laughs like a crazed man. He then looks back down at Princess Elara and smiles. You know I always did like red roses better. Elaras vision starts to blur because of the rain and the extreme loss of blood running down her face. She sees William walk away from her, cleaning the blood off his hands as a black carriage arrives to get him.
