"Sh." Gio spat at me as he cocked his gun, peering over the diners counter. I couldn't help but to hack into my elbow, all the dust I was inhaling was starting to cause my lungs to hurt. Ivory shifted by my other side, her large green eyes locking with mine as she loaded her pistol. I nodded to her, and she nodded back. It seemed all three of us were holding our breaths the best we could.

"I see one." Gio whispered under his breath. It fell silent. I froze, listening to the deafening silence.

Finally I heard the shuffling of one of them, a grunt as it bumped into something, knocking it over.

I could never watch someone else kill one of them, but when it came down to it, I could rip their fucking heads off. I heard Gio shift a little bit more, and pull the trigger. I didn't even flinch when the shot went off, not even when the body hit the floor, not even when Gio slid back down beside me.

He nodded to Ivory and she slowly got up, clutching her pistol tightly. Ivory always looked stunning when we went on missions. Her dark blond hair pulled into a tight french braid, her green eyes always wide and alert, her slender body slinking along in the shadows. Same with Gio. His dark grey eyes were always focused on something, and his dark red hair was always pushed back, showing his determined, chiseled face. He slowly rose with her, scanning the area.

"Okay, Allison, get up." Gio ordered, placing his hand out for me to grab. I reached up and took hold of it firmly, pulling myself up.

I felt so awkward around these two magnificent people. I wasn't elegant when going for a kill, I wasn't as fast as them. I felt I held them back from a lot of things. But they insisted I did help.

"I think there's a way out in the left wing." Ivory said softly, her soft voice making me listen even closer to the silence.

"Lead the way." Gio said. I watched them make eye contact and could feel my cheeks flare up. For some odd reason I got jealous when it came to these two. They'd been work partners for so long, but I was convinced they had more. I wanted Gio, but that was a childish want, especially in this situation.

Ivory hurried down the nearest hallway, barely making a sound. Gio ran right after her, making gentle thuds in the hall. I got up and followed behind Gios fading figure, my breathing rough and my foot steps a little louder than they should have been. My wild brown hair was continuously falling into my face, making me irritated. I kept pushing it back and lost focus of what we were doing.

Suddenly something was hitting my side, and I was being thrown into a wall. I tried to yell but my throat was too tight, my brown eyes widening with absolute fear. I slowly flipped onto my back and stared in fear. In front of me was a burly, unquestionable undead. He was grabbing at a brick.

"Damn, you fuckers got intelligent." I whispered under my breath, grabbing my walkie-talkie out of my pocket. The rotten man finally caught grip of the brick and lifted it, moving towards me as he lifted his arm. I shot up and flung my leg out, kicking him square in the side. I felt and heard a few ribs crack, but besides him falling over he was completely un-phased.

"That's what I hate about you things." I whispered, talking more to myself, because I knew he wasn't comprehending a thing I said. "You don't feel shit." I spat, lifting my walkie talkie, beating it against his head until he was dazed. I heard it cracking against his skull, but it broke before I could actually damage the brain. I had no choice but to grab him by the neck and beat his head against the ground until he stopped moving. I slowly stood up and tossed the useless communication device. I didn't trust he was really dead, so I did what any smart person would do. I lifted my foot, and smashed his skull into a million little pieces, feeling his brain squish into my shoe. I looked away and curled my nose up, shaking my head.
