We just ate dinner that he had cooked for me. I loved those nights together. But this night we got interrupted by someone knocking at the door stressed, which made us both flinch.
-"I can take it." I said and he walked to the couch.
When I opened the door I saw Zoey standing there.
-"Hey Dol...I know you probably don't wanna see me but I have nowhere else to go..." Her eyes were red and puffy and she looked like a mess.
-"Has something happened?" She started crying now.
-"Let's sit down on the couch and talk."
-"Well it's just that I'm....pregnant."
-"What? Really?"
-"Who's the father?" He asked.
-"It was one of those alone depressing Saturday nights so I went out and just fucked a random dude."
-"Aren't you on the pill though?" I remembered that she told me that.
-"I guess it didn't work..."
-"Ugh I don't know what to do." She started uncontrollably crying again.
-"Have you thought about...whether to keep it or not?" I asked carefully.
-"I can't do an abortion, I just can't."
-"Just so you know I'm here for you no matter what your choice is."
-"Does he know? That you're pregnant." Then Alex started asking question after question.
-"Who?" She snapped out of her crying.
-"The father."
-"No, of course not. He was just a random dude. I can't even remember what his name was."
-"How many tests did you take?"
-"Like four."
-"And it was positive every time?"
-"Yes Alex, of course it was. Do you think I'm lying or something?"
-"I'm just asking valid questions here."
-"Can I talk to you Alex, in private?" I said.
-"Yeah okay." he mumbled as we walked into my bedroom and I closed the door after him.
-"Don't be rude to her now."
-"I'm not, I just think this whole situation is suspicious."
-"What do you mean? Do you think she is lying or something?"
-"It's possible though."
-"Why the hell would she do that?"
-"To get attention from you."
-"No, I can't believe you think that. She is out there crying and is desperate for help."
-"Dol, I'm sorry. I just don't know what she is capable of doing."
-"Shut up, okay? I don't wanna hear a word from you anymore."
-"Please, Dol." He said tryna grab my hand.
I walked out in my living room again, ignoring him.
-"If you want, you can stay over tonight if you don't want to be alone."
-"What about him? I don't want him over if I'm over."
-"I can leave." He said in an irritated tone and picked up his stuff from the couch and floor.
