GRIFFIN'S P.O.V
The bright sunlight wakes me up. As I look out the window I see people gathering at the town square. I could tell that they were worried about something. I rush out of my shack and towards everyone. When I get there everyone turns to look at me, confusion and fear in their eyes. "What's going on here, is everything okay?" I ask totally confused about the mob of people here. Usually people head to the mess hall where Dean cooks breakfast for everyone. Since we're on our own everyone has their own job. Me, well I'm the ring leader you could say. "T-the Rebels left us a message and it isn't pleasant writing." Skylar stuttered out. She gave me the note which read.Dear Griffin,
You injured our leader and that won't end well. Meet us at the divide tonight at twilight or else. Don't even bother making a plan you know how this will end. Adios bitches, oh and one more thing we're out for blood and can't be stopped. -Rebels"What are we going to do!?" Someone shouted. "We? This isn't anyone's fight but mine it's time some of you realize that I'm not anyone's mother okay. I'll figure this out." I state, leaving everyone speechless. I decided I needed some air and walked to my special place, the beach. I sit down and think about how I got myself into this mess in the first place. The Rebels were on our territory so their leader getting hurt is their fault. The one weakness of the Rebels is they have no battle strategy they just wing everything. My thoughts were interrupted when Stewart sat beside me. "Hey, you know you aren't alone in this right? The gang is here for you." He says trying to comfort me "Hey, I know which is why you guys are coming with me, but on the down low I have a plan that could actually work." "Then tell me the plan woman." In that moment I knew that we would have the Rebels begging for thread. I mean who could beat stealth.
"Um, Griffin? We have a big problem." Skylar nervously said. God what could possibly be wrong at a time like this. I say to myself, internally groaning as I get up from the willow tree. As we walk down to the square, I see a dead bloody hog laying lifeless on the gravel. As I walked closer o it I realize it's a warning. But something tells me it's no from the Rebels, and it definitely wasn't from one of us. Something about this wasn't adding up to the bits and pieces fate had left. Somehow, some way, I knew it was a sign from beyond the city. I just have to figure out soon.
