Previously...

During your late night insomnia, you get to know the odd, yet endearing seer named Bruno, who was quick to open up to you with your caring nature. The next day, you bump into Mirabel's parents, Agustín and Julieta, along with her flora manipulating sister: Isabela. You then tour the town with your two new friends, along with the heavy-lifting girl, Luisa, who saved you from almost tripping over. Intervened by a girl with the ability to hear anything and everything within a distance, the quiet girl known as Dolores unintentionally implies what she heard...

Your eyes slightly widened at her words. You didn't want to get Bruno in trouble for staying up late with him last night. Hopefully Dolores didn't tell anyone. The all-hearing girl internally squealed at your adorable expression, all the while unintentionally blurting something out.

"I told your abuela— hm!" Dolores suddenly squeaks, as if that was going to help that she already said it out loud.

"Oh."

Seeing the expression on your face sent her into a bit of a panic as she tries to comfort you.

"But don't worry! She's not mad."

You breathe a sigh of relief. It's not that you were worried about getting a scolding yourself, it's just that you were worried for the odd but endearing fortune teller you bumped into last night. His reputation amongst the family, the Encanto, and even your abuela had already been tarnished. You knew that had to take a toll on his mind, so who knows what it'll do to him when he gets a reprimand for making you stay up late even if it wasn't his fault. As if she had read your mind, Dolores comforts you about the curly-haired man.

"Don't worry about tío Bruno. Your abuela only scolded him lightly, he'll be alright." As the girl said that, you attempt to run back to the manor just to comfort him. Dolores was about to stop you, but your legs trip, ultimately scraping your knee. The all-hearing girl winced and rushed to your side in an instant. She expected to see sadness in your features, but instead got a bright grin.

"Don't worry, Dolores! It doesn't hurt at all!" You beamed happily. She was a bit surprised, not seeing an ounce of pain in your eyes. Regardless, she was still worried.

"You should be more careful next time... I'll take you to tía Julieta to heal your wound."

That's right! You were injured, so now you could finally see what Julieta's cooking could really do. The dishes you ate last night made you feel good mentally, so you can only imagine what it would make you feel physically. Hand-in-hand with Dolores, you both head back to La Casa Madrigal, with the girl only gazing at you affectionately as you rambled on about Julieta's food.

Dolores told the older women everything, much to your displeasure. It was just a scrape, yet everyone seemed to freak out, even the Madrigal kids, who were eavesdropping on the conversation.

Your abuela rushed down from bed to see what the commotion was about, and felt relieved that it's nothing too serious. It was a tiny little wound, yet the Madrigals were fussing over you, more so your two friends who asked a torrent of questions. Finally, your grandmother intervened.

"Querido, I told you to be careful when running!"

Before you were about to respond, Julieta handed you an arepa con queso, urging you to eat it. You did so, and your eyes twinkled in amazement at the taste as well as your wound healing itself in an instant. Thanking the healer, she smiled at you fondly.
