I was looking out the window of my moms car we were heading to the airport because we were moving I didn't really care but if I did I knew it would have been for the best. My father had just died in a really bad car accident. It was really hard to get through so we decided we should start fresh and move to California. I mean I really didn't have a problem with it there's nothing for me here in South Dakota anymore considering my Dad's death and I have no friends. Yeah I'm a loner but I love it.
"Lyla honey are you okay?" my mother asked.
"Yeah I'm fine mom I was just thinking about what it's gonna be like in California" I said.
"Well dont worry hun should see the house it's beautiful it has the beach right behind it." my mom said.
"It sounds amazing I just can't wait to see it all. I told my mom trying too, sound as happy as can be. I don't really think it worked because I then saw my mom trying to hide a frown by covering it up with a smile.
We arrived at the airport a few minutes later. I got out of the car and headed towards the trunk to get my bags. I reached in the trunk and pulled out my red bag that said "flawless" across from it. I threw the bag over my shoulder and then grabbed my two suitcases. After that my mom grabbed her bags and we headed towards the airport doors.
"It's probably going to be a while before are flight get called to board are you hungary? mom asked.
"Uhh no I'm good" I replied back quietly.
"Are you sure because I'm about to go to the bending machine."
"I'm sure mom." I said with a smile. She walked away towards the machines I could here her heels walking farther away from were we where sitting. I listened to music on my phone while I waited. As I saw my mom walking back with a water and a bag of chips I pulled my headphones out of my ears and as soon as I did the intercom announced our flight was ready to take off. As mom and I were walking towards the boarding area there was this little girl and her mother that were holding a sign that said "anything helps" I quickly turned around and gave the little family a 20 dollars. My mother and I were once is a situation like that when we had no place to go at the time because we had just moved to South Dakota homeless with nothing.
"Thank You." the women said in a kind and sweet voice. I just smiled and began to catch up with my mom. My mom must of seen what I did because when I caught up with her she gave me a big smile. We gave the flight attendant are tickets while boarding are seats. After a while a announcement on the plance came on saying we would be taking off in five minutes. I looked over to my mom who was smiling. I smiled back while putting my headphones in. I Layed my head back and fell in a deep sleep.
