"Christ, they're dead!" Connie called out as he placed his fingers on Hange's neck to find a pulse. Your breathing began to get unsteady as you looked around at you. "Connie, go and get out of here with Hange's body and Eren!" Jean shouted as he rushed towards a different rock to hide behind.
"We'll cover you!" You nodded to him as you stood up from the rock, gripping your revolver and sending shots towards the blonde haired girl. One of your bullets lodged itself in her abdomen and sent her flying back.
That only made Reine angrier as he lunged at Jean, pushing him into the rocks behind him. "Y/N, lure them up the hill." Jean let out a shake breath as he ran up the hill, Reiner right on his trail.
You looked at the girl, who was no longer moving, practically swimming in her own blood. Levi was sitting over Zeke's body, his hands covered with blood. You could feel your stomach turn as you looked at the sight of Zeke. He was barely recognizable from the damage Levi had dealt.
"Go help Jean!" Levi shooed you away and you ran off towards the hill.
You spotted them tussling at the top of the hill, Reiner on top of Jean as he held a knife near his face. You held your gun up, aiming it right at Reiner's head. "Reiner, stop!" You shouted and he looked over at you, still keeping the knife pointed at Jean's chest. Reiner grinned as he raised up the knife, Jean surrendering as he slashed down at him.
You pulled the trigger, the bullet flying through the air and going right through Reiner's head. "Jean!" You dropped your gun, running towards him as he laid on the ground. You were too late. The knife was lodged in his chest, and it was too deep for you to remove. Jean sat up slightly, but coughing as he tried to steady his breath. Blood began to drip from his mouth as he looked at you.
His hands were shaky as he reached for his hat that laid beside him. He grabbed onto your hand, placing the hat on your head. "I love you so much darling." Jean's breathing was shaky as he laid his head back, staring at the sky as the sun began to rise above the trees. "No, Jean! Jean, come on!" You grabbed onto his shoulders, shaking his lifeless body as the tears began to flow down your face. "Please don't do this to me!" You choked on your saliva as you screamed.
You could hear the sound of rocks being stepped on behind you. It must have been Levi. You couldn't take your eyes off of Jean as he laid there, his eyes still staring at the sun.
You heard the sound of a gun, and before you could react, you were hit with a burning pain in your stomach. You quickly grabbed your side, looking down to see the blood already soaking through your clothes. You turned around, stunned to see the blonde girl you had shot. Blood was dripping down onto the rocks as she collapsed, finally giving it.
You began to wheeze, staring at her body as she finally passed. Your eyes traveled down to the bullet wound in your stomach, and then to Jean. You were too weak to apply pressure to the wound. All you were focused on was being with Jean.
You dragged yourself towards the large rock that sat behind you and Jean. You propped yourself on the rock, laying your head back as you began to gasp for air. Jean's hat still sat on your head as your hand fell onto his head. You gently stroked his hair as you turned to face the sunrise.
You could just see the sun's rays peeking over the trees. The sky was golden and blue, the trees swaying in the wind and the birds flying around. You let out one last shaky breath, your hand becoming limp and laying on Jean's hair. That image of the sun was the last thing you saw, and the last thing you felt was Jean.
