Chapter 8:: Home

Author's POV:

"But I'm glad you were though." A voice spoke as Taehyung looked up to see you standing there patting his head. His eyes widened a little as he opened his mouth to say something but closed it as you smiled stroking his back lightly.

"R-Rosecheeks..." He spoke as you gulped saying, "Y-Yeah! I AM your Rosecheeks... s-so, it's fine. Just sit here and I'll sit w-with you..."
"You're scared of me.." Taehyung spoke blankly sounding hurt and you knew it wasn't his fault. It was true, you were scared indeed. Knowing the fact that your closest friend and buddy was not even a human but a bloodsucker was shocking to you. But, it couldn't overdo the care and warmth your heart held for him.

"I am... very scared. But... I trust you. And I know you're not a bad pers- I mean, vampire... It's a little hard to believe but I think... it's not that bad." You spoke as he gulped looking down.
"I'm s-sorry." He spoke as you looked at him before smiling.
"That's why I'm not scared of you. Though you should've told me before... you aren't bad. I trust you." You asked as he looked at you not understanding why you were so calm and understanding to him.

"Why?" He asked in a cracked voice as you looked at him confused.
"Why... are you taking a bloodsucker's side?" He said as you spoke, "I'm not. Who said I am? I am taking my TaeTae's side." He looked at you sadly as you spoke, "I think I might also end up not meeting you for some days cause even though I'm fine right now, I'll get scared soon. But, I also know I'll end up coming back to you. Because there's no other place for me to go to other than my home and you." You smiled at him as he looked down, tears falling from his eyes. You embraced him smiling. You noticed how your hand was shaking a little but seeing him like this, you weren't scared anymore.

"Will you leave me now..?" He asked, fear and helplessness evident in his voice as you frowned saying, "What?" He gulped saying, "You heard him... he said you'll be in danger if you stay with me, and I'm a vampire after all." You looked at him before thinking, "That man did look scary... b-but, where will I go if not to you?" He looked at you confused as you spoke, "I don't have anyone to go to... I don't like anyone either. You know that too... I always come to play with you right? I even denied marrying you... why would you even think I'll leave you?" Your statement made him look at you. He got up and stood in front of you looking down. He was looking down making you confused. You got up asking him, "What's wrong-" but got cut off by him saying, "I'll protect you. From them." You chuckled at his statement after staring at him for a while. He frowned not understanding your behaviour.
"That man looked scarier and more powerful than you, though." You spoke as he replied, "I am more powerful. I just need to go... through a ritual."
"Really? I heard you have to be a King for that." Your statement made him look down sadly as he spoke, "I don't want to be though."

"It's okay. Whether you're a King or not, you're still my TaeTae so... don't worry. Let's go eat something. I'm hungry!" You spoke as he looked at you.
"But I don't get hungry or cold." You looked at him with a questioning face and then chuckled saying, "I get hungry and cold. And even though you don't get cold or hungry, you should eat and stay warm. There's nothing wrong with that."
You walked towards him and wiped the dry tears on his face and smiled. He was staring at you, his eyes full of love and adoration for you.

---Time skip

"Ah, it was yummy!" You spoke as he replied, "You ate lunch twice." You adjusted your voice saying, "Well, I like to eat with you." You spoke looking down smiling as he smiled back.
"I was supposed to go home... but I'm here... I guess!" You giggled as Taehyung took the book from his night table and placed it on the shelf. He came back and smiled at you to which you reciprocated.
