The early morning sun hung low over the horizon as the last of the enemy was killed, captured or had otherwise retreated through the gates.
Tesla guns down an enemy soldier the area secure with their death. Speaking into his earpiece he says,
"Cannete, Sopfina all clear. Please stand by." Tesla tells them
"Okay" Cannete acknowledged.
"I'm glad you're alright" Sopfina replied. Tesla could hear relief in her voice.
"Me too. Thank you" He replied.
"Aiisha, Minerva report" he ordered.
"Clear" Aiisha reported.
"Same" Minerva replied.
"Alright regroup on me"
A short time later Aiisha and Minerva rejoin him.
Eventually they find the knight they had met previously.
"We meet again. Glad to see that you're still alright." He greeted them warmly. I want to thank you again for your assistance. My name is Arden a royal knight."
"Likewise. My name is Tesla and these are Aiisha and Minerva." He replied introducing himself and the girls.
Arden a white man with purple hair and pale golden eyes, had an athletic build. He wore silver chest, arm, knee and leg armor. Underneath was black, light leather clothing. He carried a greatsword much like your typical fantasy greatsword.
"Pleased to meet you. I must say, wasn't expecting to be saved much less by kids as young as you."
"There are more of us waiting at outside the town that way he points."
"There are more of you?"
"Yes however I'd like to request formal entry."
"Granted. I shall send someone to open the west gate for your people."
"Cannete, Sophfina you're clear to approach the gates." Tesla informed them through his earpiece.
He could see a confused look on Arden's face but only for a second. Perhaps he figured that Tesla was using some long distance communication magic.
"Your magic weapons are quite intriguing as well I've never seen anything like it before. He says hand on his chin leaning in for a closer look. So this the true source of the strange 'bang' that I heard."
"Yes it is." Tesla replies not bothering to elaborate further than that.
Before Arden could press further the female knight they had seen last night approaches him.
"Excuse me for a second" he says excusing himself.
He steps away from them and she tells him something then looks at Tesla.
Arden returns to relay the information he had just received.
"The Princess wishes to meet and thank you personally. Please follow me." He announced.
