 *Rafael POV*

As Elizabeth left the room with my father and daughters, all the other women's eyes seemed to snap to my own. Reaching behind my head, I scratched the back of my neck feeling their gazes on me. I had a feeling I knew what they were going to say, I just didn't want to hear it or talk about it until I see her.

But knowing the women in my life, that wasn't going to happen.

"So clearly we walked in on something," Angelica grinned crossing her arms while our mother moved into the seat beside my bed.

Mom sat her chin in her palm looking at me as Maria sat beside Angie on the bed looking at me as well.

"Come on Raf, we have all seen the way you look at her," Maria said softly, "Literally the month after she got settled in, we knew something felt different. Even dad noticed and you know how clueless he is at times."

We all laughed briefly at that; it was true. I just didn't realize they all noticed, I thought I hid my feelings so well, but I guess I didn't. Over the last several months, watching her from a distance being so hardworking in her ambitions, loving towards my daughters, and the way we connected over to smallest of things; it just wasn't hard to fall.

Elizabeth is beautiful. Nothing just the way she looks and carries herself, but who she is on the inside. Elizabeth is sweet, although when tested holds her ground; I had heard it firsthand when she was speaking to Amal. She's driven when it comes to her dream of being a chef and opening restaurants worldwide. Her love of flowers and books was evident as I would catch at moments on the houses cameras of her reading and tending to the garden outdoors. Not only that but how she treated my family and those who helped keep the house in order. She is perfect.

"What do you want me to say?" I hummed closing my eyes as I leaned my head back against the softly pillow.

"That you like- no, that you love her, and you finally admitted it to her," Maria sighed out dreamily clasping her hands together.

"Love... her?" I thought out opening my eyes, "But it's only been a couple of months."

Mom reached out holding my hand in hers.

"What do I always tell you kids?" She asked looking at us.

"No amount of time can measure how quickly you fall for someone," My sisters and I mummer simultaneously before smiling at one another.

"Exactly. With your father I just knew, and I was only 18. Some people would say that it is too young but when you have that feeling and know in your soul that, that person is the one then you know."

"How do you know you love someone?" I whispered softly looking over to my mom.

She leaned back taping her lip before opening her mouth to speak, only to be cut off with a deep voice.

"When their presence makes you feel loved, important and at peace. When something good happens and they're the first person you want to share it all with. You crave everything there is about them wanting to do anything you can just to hear them speak and look at you. You genuinely want to spend time with them and care for them. But most importantly you want to grow with them and can't imagine that with anyone else," My father utters from the doorway never tracking his eyes away from moms.

The smile on her face is filled with nothing but love as he walks in kissing my sisters head and ruffling my hair then sitting beside my mother. She gives him a quick kiss and he holds her hand placing another kiss on top.

"Love is never easy, but you chose to make it work. And with that one person, you must choose to always fight and work hard to make it work," She stated looking me in the eyes, "So think about her...is that your one person?"
