Atsui Mellow enjoys spending her time wisely; that's why she's in front of the gates of UA High School with her best friend, Izumi Matsuda.

———

"You sure that you wanna go into the hero course with me?" Izumi asked for the fifth time. "Yes, yes I'm sure! We've been in the same classes since pre-school! I wouldn't dare to switch now," Atsui said.

Izumi shrugged then sighed, "Okay then, we can both try out for the hero course," they said bluntly. Atsui waved her arms around in excitement, yes!

———

Atsui walked into the classroom after Izumi did. A boy with bright yellow hair cheered, "Hey! More people!"

"Ooh, yellow hair? That'd boost my popularity," Atsui said to no one in particular. Izumi ignored her and looked around, confused, "Where do we sit?" they asked. Atsui shrugged as another person walked in. Light brown skin, short dark red hair and amber eyes.

She sat down as Atsui sat down next to her. The mystery person pulled out—a knitting kit? Another girl (pink hair, just like her! Though the other girl's hair is darker) walked in and sat down, pulling out a Nintendo.

Atsui peered over the red-heads shoulder and said, "Knitting? That's pretty boring, don't you think? Like a grandma," she taunted playfully.

"I mean, I gotta sew my shoes and I crochet," the red-head responded, not looking up at the other.

"You look like you'd do a band, not exactly ballet. You struck me as the Punk Bad Girl type of person, 'ya know?"

"Excuse me?"

"What? It's the truth!" Atsui excused.

"Just because I dress differently doesn't mean that I'm not a ballerina," the red-head said.

"Yeah you're right, sorry 'bout that. My name's Atsui Mellow! What about you?" Atsui asked. "Ah, I'm Bunko Kondo. Please leave me alone," Kondo replied, going back to sewing.

Luckily enough, their teacher came in; Aizawa Shouta.

"Good morning class, please quiet down," he said tiredly. No one actually listened as more people walked in.

He walked in front of the class and stood there for a few seconds before saying, "Everyone, take a seat and quiet down."

Yet again, no one listened.

He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Do I need to expel some of you before class even begins?" That shut everyone up.

He leads everyone to Ground Beta, where they'll be training.

After quirk assessments, yelling and more, they were back in class.

Atsui was panting heavily, not used to how much exercise they had done.

"Quit being so dramatic, Mellow," Bunko said, her stamina being obviously higher than the pink haired girl.

"Shut up, Bunko-bed!" Atsui snapped, taking a sip out of her water. "Don't call me that, marshmallow."

"Yeah, sure whatever Condom-san," she teased, trying to contain her own laughter. Bunko kicked her underneath the desk that they share and clicked her tongue.

"Okay, listen here you big ugly buffoon, I do not want to end this conversation with violence but if you keep pestering me I will," Bunko threatened.

Atsui rolled her eyes and was gonna say something back before Izumi reached out.

"Don't get into a fight, we have a gig today." Ah! She forgot about that, whoops. "The director's gonna throw a fit if he sees that you're hurt," they scolded (with no intention to be mean) then walked back to his seat.
