Cale, Alexina, Ambrose and Alaric were inside the carriage going to the duchy. Ron, Beacrox, Choi Han, Raon, On, and Hong were with them to go to the Duchy while the others were researching the Gates with the guidance of the Ancient dragon.
'Why did Raon, On and Hong didn't go with us?' Cale thought since usually those kids will be with him in a carriage but when he asked them earlier they refused and told Cale that they will be with the others.
The twins who were tired were laying on their parents lap. Ambrose, who was closer to his mommy, was obviously there. And Alaric, who is already close to Cale, was sleeping on his lap. After a while, the family was deep in their sleep. Cale slept in the carriage since he wasn't able to get much sleep yesterday night. Alexina who was gathering the lost energy from closing the gates and the twins who were sleeping because they needed to recharge their energy.
When the carriage arrived at the duchy, Ron, Beacrox, and Choi Han were waiting for them to get out of the carriage but they didn't. Hans who was also waiting with the other servants looks confused on why didn't the young master Cale go down the carriage.
They waited for about ten minutes before Ron decided to knock on the carriage's door.
"Young master, we arrived at the duchy."
Cale who wakes up from the voice of the viscous butler and the voice of the ancient power that tell him that they arrived. He noticed that Alexina started to wake up while the twins were still sleeping. They tidy up themselves before they lift the twins so they can go down.
"Ron, open the door." Cale asked, and the door opened. He ducks and makes sure that he is holding Alaric's head so he won't bump his head. When he got down, he offered his hands to Alexina who took it and helped her get down the carriage. She was carrying Ambrose with her.
"Young master, it seems that you fell asleep during the ride." Ron commented. He was walking in front of them as he was leading them somewhere. They walked not minding the stare that the other servants were having to Alexina and her son's that they were carrying.
"Yeah, I did sleep throughout the whole ride." Cale agrees and keeps his hold to Alaric who stirred from his sleep. Alexina walks about two steps so Cale can see Ambrose who just woke up from his sleep looked at him in confusion.
"Where in the Duchy." Cale told him and he nodded before trying to go down from his mother.
"Mommy, put me down so I can walk." Ambrose whispered so Alexina put him down and held it's hand. Cale noticed that Alexina was moving like a Noble or even a princess. Her etiquette was top notch.
They arrived in one of the rooms and Ron opened the door for them to enter. Choi Han didn't enter as he will be guarding the door.
They enter and Deruth, Violan, Basten and Lily greet them. Deruth gestured to them to sit down so they did. Cale sat while Alaric was still clinging on his neck.
"Is that my grandchildren?" Deruth immediately asked while staring at Ambrose who was looking at him sleepy, he let out a yawn before slumping his head on his father's lap. Cale nodded, since he was busy stroking Ambrose's head.
"Are you the one who will handle the wedding?" Violan asks while staring at Alexina who was sneaking some glances around the room.
"Unfortunately, I can't. I have more important business that I need to cater to than planning a wedding." Alexina immediately answers, no need to use some flowery words since Cale told her that he will follow her lead.
"And why? The bride must be the one who will plan her wedding. Is there anything that is more important than your wedding?" Violan asks again while looking at Alexina up and down. Alexina can feel her blood pressure rising as she doesn't want someone who looked at her in that way but she tried to calm down.
