The next day Elijah felt horrible, he had a nightmare, but it wasn't the worst. He couldn't even remember his dream; it probably wasn't important anyway. Slowly Elijah got out of bed, not seeing the big shadow standing behind him. Slowly he looked to his right and saw an old picture frame of his family, he saw himself right in the middle of the photo.Elijah was surrounded by his father, mother and his two younger brothers. He smiled with a sad look in his eyes while he slowly picked up the photo.

"I miss you guys so much" Elijah said.

Slowly he ran his finger over the three people who were missing in his household. A single tear ran down Elijah's cheek. Suddenly there were violent pictures clouding his eyes, what he saw were flashing scenes of a car crash.

Elijah quickly shook his head, removing that moment out of his mind. Immediately his mood went down even more. He slowly walked to his closet and grabbed a hoodie and sweatpants and made his way to the bathroom to do his daily routine. After he was done, he went downstairs; mother was already at work.

Sadly,he went to the kitchen and looked in the fridge, seeing a particular dish. It was a dish that his dad used to make.

'Why do I keep thinking about them today,it feels like someone is looking into my head." Elijah thought in his head.

The day slowly went by, Elijah did nothing the whole day, the only thing on his mind was his family. The next day he woke up to his face stained with tears.

Had he been crying in his sleep? Why was this happening? Elijah looks at his calendar on his phone and sees that today was the anniversary of the accident.

'Now I get why I feel so horrible' he thought to himself.

Turning his head he saw the book lying on the bed

"I swear I put it on my desk. It's probably nothing, much have misplaced it yesterday." He mumbled silently.

Elijah grabbed his phone and sent a message to his mother, asking if he could stay home today. While he waited for his mother to respond, Elijah slowly stepped out of his room. the air became thick as he slowly advanced to the room at the end of the hallway.

Why was he doing this, it was like his body was moving on his own. His hand was now on the handle of the door, was he really going to do this. Elijah's face became emotionless, putting a façade over his true emotions.

He open the door slowly, dust particles danced in the room because of the movement that disturbed the room. a lonely tear went down Elijah's cheek when he looked around the room. the room had two sides, each mirroring his own room, except there were more toys in this room. the room hadn't been touched in a year yet it looked like dome stuff moved, though Elijah paid almost nothing to this.

Slowly he advanced to one of the beds, looking at the small toy on that bed. It was a small red panda with one of his ears missing. Elijah pick up the dusty plushie, a small smile forming on his face. Turning around to face the other bed, he jumped up in fear. His phone hadvibrated in his shorts, his mom had texted him back saying that it was fine if he stayed home. Slowly he continued his way over to the other bed, also picking up a stuffed animal that belonged to one of his brothers. But this time it was a small raccoon with a big brown spot on his back from the coffee that was spilled there once.

Quickly he now made his way out of the room, heading back to his bed; falling asleep quickly not noticing that some stuff in his room had been moved
