Phan one-shots

"I'm nervous." Dan said as he went to chew on his already short nails. "So am I, But it's the perfect timing, don't you think? We have been dropping hints for a while now and they deserve to know."
Phil draped his arm around dan, squeezing tightly and quickly letting go.

"Yeah, you're right. Just..what if there are some homophobic people that will hate on us? Or unsubscribe?"
"I'm not going to lie, babe. I'd be quite surprised if we don't get any hate. But I'm also going to say I know that so many people out there ship Phan and would trade their souls just so we would be in a relationship. We have so many people that will support us that it will drown out all of the negative comments. Trust me, it will all be just fine."
Phil brought his hand up to Dan's chin and and leaned in for a kiss.
They pulled apart and dan leaned into Phil and tucked his head in the crook of his neck.
"I love you."
"And I love you."

Dan and Phil stayed like that for about three minutes until Phil spoke.
"I guess we should start the video?"
"Yeah." Dan said, practically whispering. "Okay, here we go!"
Phil leaned forward and pressed the record button.

"Hey, guys!" Dan and Phil said simultaneously.
"So we're finally in japan!!" Phil said sounding very excited.
Dan put both his fists in the air and pulled them down "yeeaah!!"

"It's quite beautiful too! The hotel we're staying at has this outdoor garden with beautiful cherry blossoms and all these other brilliant looking flowers. It also had some really unique waterfalls. The rooms here are very peaceful and I could just go on for ages about everything here!! I never want to leave!" Phil said throwing his arms up in exaggeration.
"Okay, so I know we said we probably wouldn't Vlog, we have something so announce and we thought that when we were in Japan together would be the perfect place to do so."
Dan and Phil exchanged glances.
"Dan and I are together." Phil said smiling ear to ear. Dan nodded.
"Yep! I'll just give you guys some time to process that." Dan giggled.

Phil took hold of Dan's hand and intertwined their fingers.
"Well, that's all, guys! Have a wonderful day and we will talk to you when we get back from japan!"
Dan waved and they both said bye to the camera.
"Wasn't so bad, was it?" Phil teased dan.
"Nope! It actually felt really good to say!" Dan said smiling.
"Good."

"Now that that's done, want to take a walk down in that garden you mentioned? It did look absolutely stunning."
"Yeah, of course!" Phil said, standing up from the bed. He reached out for Dan's hand and helped him up.

Right before they left, Dan grabbed the small camcorder they had just used to shoot, and quickly hid it in his pocket.

They walked out of their hotel room and over to the lift. They waited for it to arrive and then they stepped in.
When the doors closed, Phil immediately snaked his arms around Dan's waist and rested his chin on Dan's shoulder.
Dan turned his head slightly so he could see phil.
Phil breathed in Dan's scent and made an "mmmm" sound when he exhaled.
"Dan, you smell so good." He admitted.
I could say the same to you, love." Dan said, turning fully around so he could properly look and Phil.
"You're also so beautiful. You know that?" Dan cooed.
"I did." Phil laughed and dan joined along.
"But really phil, your absolutely perfect." Dan said with a serious face. Right then, there was a ding and the doors to the lift opened.

They stepped away from each other, but phil still found Dan's hand and laced their fingers together.

Dan pulled out his phone as they entered the garden.
"Selfie?" He asked.
"Sure!" Phil agreed
They both stood In front of a cherry blossom and dan pulled a peace sign.
They both smiled and took the photo.
"I'll post it when we get back to the hotel room. That way, we can take a few minutes to reply to some people."
Dan stated.
"Okay." Phil said smiling and started along the path again.

By this point, dan was getting anxious. And Phil noticed.
"Dan, you seem a bit nervous. What's up?"
"Nothing." Dan said, looking to Phil and sending a reassuring smile.
"Alright, love." Phil said and leaned into dan.
They were just passing another array of flowers that dan thought looked particularly pretty.
Dan stopped and so did Phil looking at dan slightly confused.
"This is really pretty." Dan said almost whispering.
"It is." Phil agreed
While Phil looked at the arrangement of flowers and a beautiful waterfall completing the display, dan slipped behind Him and set the camcorder up on a bench a cross the path.
Phil noticed and looked at dan but not noticing the Camera.
Dan had just started walking back to Phil.
Phil still looked a bit confused but that was until he saw what dan was doing.

Dan struggled to get the black velvet box from his tight skinny jeans, but eventually, he got it.
He got down on one knee and looked up at Phil, whom was covering his mouth and his eyes started tearing up. "Phil, I knew I loved you since the second I saw you on my computer screen. Every second I fall in love with you even more. To this very moment, I still can't believe how lucky I am to have such an amazing best friend and boyfriend.
You have made me the happiest I've ever been and I'd like to stay that way."
Dan held up the black box and opened it, revealing a ring.
"Philip Michael Lester, will you marry me?"
Phil tried to calm himself enough to say yes, but failed and made a weird hiccuping sound.
"Ye-yeah. I mean- yes, dan, I will marry you."
Dan took Phil's hand and slid the ring on, feeling much more confident. Then he stood up and engulfed Phil in a hug.
"I love you so much, dan" Phil whispered in Dan's ear.
Dan lifted his head from Phil's shoulder to look him in the eye.
"I love you more than you will ever know, Phil."
Dan directed Phil over to the bench where he had set the camera. As soon and Phil saw that dan had recorded the whole thing, he looked at Dan. "You recorded the whole thing?" He said giggling.
"I did." Dan replied, smiling.

It was getting dark and they decided to head back up to their hotel room.

As they walked into their hotel room and plopped onto the bed.
"Dan." Phil began.
"Can we watch back the clip of you proposing? I want to see what it looked like."
"Of course." Dan said smiling and getting up to get the camera and a cord to plug it in to the computer.

Dan sat down next to Phil On the bed and pulled out his computer.
"And here we go." Dan said to himself as he clicked on the video.

The video started and Phil cuddled up to dan. "I'm so happy you got it on video." Phil said.
"Me too, now we can go back whenever we want and look at one of the best days of our lives." Dan said smiling.
"I have an idea." Phil said looking at Dan.
"And what's that?" Dan asked.
"That video we took earlier, how about we don't post it. How about we never actually tell them we are in a relationship. I'll just always wear my ring. Even in all my videos. We can start randomly being close. And we could kiss and act like nothing happened. Say 'I love you' and act as if nothing happened."
"Okay, we could do that." Dan said giggling.
"But I do want to show them this video. Maybe we can show them after a month? Or something. I'd really like them to see this." Phil said.
"Me too. What if we do what you said. But we can do a live show together one day and kiss right before we leave. Then after people freak out, we can post the video." Dan suggested.
"I like that idea better." Phil smiled.

When the video ended, dan pulled Phil into a tighter embrace.
As they were both tired, dan put the computer on the the floor and snuggled up next to Phil. Not even bothering to put on pajamas.

"Phil." Dan started
"Yeah?"
"This is the most fun I've ever had."
Dan kissed Phil and snuggled up even closer if possible. And with that, they both drifted off to a deep sleep.
