After clearing my head that felt like a jam packed printer with too many printing requests. I felt at ease seeing the welcome sign to my old childhood town that I was coming back to.It felt right. Like I was home again. While eating a few crackers I packed so I wasn't hungry later, I pulled into the old neighborhood and search for the house I longed to see once more.
The Afton household.
Turning onto the street, catching a glimpse of the house I turned the vehicle into the same old paved driveway that I've stepped foot on more than a thousand times in my life.
I remember as kids, Michael and I would play in the sprinkler in his front yard, just running back and forth from the grass to the pavement. I remember Michael slipped on the wet grass. Hitting his face on the ground, he skinned his cheek ever so slightly.
Little 6 year old me had thought that Michael had for some reason died when his mother took him inside to stop him from crying and to treat his injury. After that he had a scratch scar forever on his left cheek bone near his eye.
I always thought it suited him, and when he hit his teens. He looked hot.
I grabbed my bag of spare clothes, and my necessities just incase. I hate going places unprepared. I got out and locked the car and put my keys in my back pocket. Maybe afterwards I will go see Stella. I miss her.
My breath hitched as I approached the door. Lifting my fist up to knock, I hesitated.
Do they even live here anymore?
I didn't see anyone..
I knocked.
God did I regret it.
But to my suprise, the door just pushed itself open. I guess it wasn't shut all the way, which was my first scare. Because I really didn't know what I was getting myself into.
Stepping inside and peeking my head in, I held the door and knocked looking around. "...Hello?" The house looked messy but not anything different from when I last seen it two years ago.
"Hello?" I asked once more while keeping my shoes on and walking inside. This is totally breaking and entering. Though I am a family friend so I don't think it's that bad...right?
The hallway to the bedrooms were dark. It scared me, but the light through the window from the sun beamed through. Making it a bit more lively. Michaels door was shut. I knocked on it, really hoping for some sort of answer.
Nothing.
I opened it to find his room actually clean? It was organized. But I noticed some papers on the desk that scattered everywhere. It was a mess. I decided not to leave my finger prints on them and walked out.
I know my finger prints would be on the door knobs but it was just a weird security thought.
I walked out.
Into the same dusty hallway, I looked at Evans room.
Every thing came flooding back.
The day of the party. I remember the horrid screams of Evans mother, the children, Michaels friends. And the screaming of William.
It was all so scary.
Tears flooded my eyes as I shakily opened the door. As I opened the door, alarms started going off. "Shit!" I began to run and make my way out of the long hallway.
BAM!
I was being tackled to the floor, I hit my head, though it wasn't as bad because it was on the carpet. A heavy body pinned me down and a strong hand covered my mouth.
