Chapter six: Tony

Mariia was not in the mood to meet any of jacobs friends tonight but she thought she would have been able to go to her room before they got to the house. She should have made a run for it before he could completely open the door.

Once they stepped inside they all start yelling and marii interrupts them to remind jake that ella is still upstairs asleep. Everyone froze and looked at mariia as if they just realized she was standing behind Jacob.

"Dude, you didn't tell me she was THIS hot" guy number one says as he looks marii up and down. He's about jacobs height or maybe an inch shorter with fluffy light brown hair and green eyes. He's kind of adorable and he did just call mariia hot.

Jacob rolled his eyes at guy number one comment.

"Hello, I'm T like the letter. It's short for Theo" Theo starts walking towards mariia until jake pushes him back.

"okay so now that we've established theo's the only one whose ever heard of this chick. Who is she?" girl number one asks staring right at mariia. She has dirty blonde hair and light brown eyes that look kind yet mean at the same time.

"This is mariia. Ella's babysitter/nanny" Theo says before Jacob can even get it out.

Mariia waves and a brown skin girl walks toward her giving her a huge hug. Girl number two. She has long braids and dark brown eyes. "hey mariia, my names Sophie. It's nice to meet you"

girl number three pulls sophie off of mariia and reaches out her hand "hey im max". Max is a little taller than mariia but that's not saying much. She has her straight brunette hair in a ponytail and her dark blue eyes looking marii right in her hazel ones. It was kind of intimidating but hot at the same time.

"Okay, whatever I'm tired of introductions. can we drink now?" guy number two says as he heads toward the enormous living room. He's Asian with black hair that stops just above his eyes and he has a significant amount of tattoos on his arms.

This group screams trouble. It was obvious jacob was the type to have lots of friends but this was not what she had expected.

Everyone followed to the living room. Mariia takes this as an opportunity to leave but Jacob grabs her wrist and pulls her with him. There was no point trying to fight the grip he had on her.

"I need to check on Ella," Mariia says as she's being dragged by Jacob

Jacob stops and pulls out his phone and turns it to show her, "here look. my parents added a camera for while she sleeps so if we're too far we can check. She's fine"

Wow, she was really depending on that reason to allow her to escape. Now her brain is drawing a blank for any other excuses.

Everyone sits down like this is their house. Sophie sits next to max on a love seat and Jacob pulls marii to sit next to him. Once marii sits, Theo sits right next to her causing jake to give him a glance. The other guy sits on a couch and the other girl lays with her legs on top of his.

They all start to drink and pass the bottle around until it gets to marii. "here" the unknown guy says. "c'mon tony she's clearly at work and can't drink" Sophie says while grabbing the bottle from him and turning to hand it to the other girl.

"here Liz take this" Sophie says

Liz...friends with benefits

Marii shoots Jacob a look that Liz notices.

"What? have you heard of me? You two can't be that close already." Liz says laughing and taking a drink.

No one says a word.

"what the hell are you talking about Liz?" Theo says laying back relaxed on the couch.

Liz looks at Jacob while taking another drink, ignoring theo.

Jacobs eyes are glued to mariia who is staring at the floor now.

She can't figure out why this is making her feel as bad as it does. Is it because she thought she felt some kind of connection with Jacob but it was all in her head? She does tend to catch feelings quicker than normal people.

"What the fuck is happening right now? Are you guys fucking again?" Max asks looking at Liz and Jacob.

"Who said we ever stopped?" Liz responds still looking at jake waiting for a reaction.

Tony stands up and grabs a blunt off the table, "gross, I need to be high to deal with this bullshit tonight. Anyone wanna join?"

Mariia stands up and walks outside with Tony. She can feel Jacob's eyes following her but he does not get up to follow them, none of them do.

Tony lights the blunt, takes a puff, and hands it to Mariia.

Mariia puts a hand up stopping him, "No thanks, I actually just wanted to get out of there honestly". Tony doesn't ask any questions about it, he just takes another hit.

"They're usually weird but they're being extra weird tonight," Tony says before letting out the smoke and then taking another hit. Mariia stands there silently.

Tony turns to Mariia again "I don't know if you're being weird too or you're just naturally weird". That makes Mariia laugh a little because she really knows nothing about anyone in that room, including Jacob.

Mariia's laugh makes Tony laugh, and tony's laugh made mariia laugh even harder. Now they're both standing there laughing for no reason.

For some reason, Mariia could feel herself getting more comfortable around tony. "So what's the story with Liz and Jacob?" Mariia asks in the most nonchalant way she could while taking a seat on the stairs.

Tony puts out his blunt and sits next to her, "There's not much of a story. They both got their hearts broken so now they don't date anymore and just have sex with each other when Jakes in town". Just before Mariia could ask how Jake got his heartbroken the door behind them opens.

Jacob stands there looking at how close and relaxed Mariia and Tony are on the steps. "Ella's awake and wants you," Jacob says looking from Mariia to tony and back to mariia.

"aww I knew I was her favorite, tell her I'll be right there," Tony says standing up. Mariia laughs standing from the stairs , stopping Tony and walking towards jake, "I think he meant me, Tony".
