My skin prickles as I try not to bring myself to regret the choices that led me here. I was never really into human interaction. If there was ever a moment in my life where I ever socialized with anyone, it was my cousin Griffin. But he was an addictive gambler, and he couldn’t always pay his debts. One day, a man he bet against wanted his earnings, but when Griffin denied him, he killed Griffin, but then found me, a 7 year old witch that was completely unaware of the danger that awaited her. For you see, the man was a vampire, who then turned me into one. The man was killed months later by an enemy of his. But no one he knew ever gambled with him for money. They wanted something that money could never give them. You see, only people from the Night world, knew of what Griffin could offer them. He also was a member of the night world, like I am. You see, my cousin Griffin was a witch. In the night world, there are only two kinds of witches. There are those who know of their magical heritage which are. then trained by their knowing family members, and those who don’t. Griffin was one of the witches that were trained. He trained me into the witch I am today. My parents were witches as well, but they were very creative and inventive. They were killed together simultaneously when they were on the verge of creating a new spell. Griffin told me that they were trying to create a spell that could put up a permanent force field that could be controlled at will. My mother had left me in a room close by to nap, but when the spell backfired; it left me alive but gave me a strange power, besides the witch powers that already flowed in my veins. Turns out the spell my parents created did work, now if I ever feel the need to, I can raise the invisible shield to protect myself and my mind at any time. So ever since I lost Griffin, I’ve been taking residence in any vacant warehouse. Since I was turned into a vampire, I am immortal, so I’ve had a lot of time to myself to practice and enhance my powers. Which have come in real good use. Now I see why Griffin was so into gambling. He would always have cash in his pockets, but he would always spend it too fast, and there was never a time when he wasn’t in debt. That’s what ruined him. Unlike him however, I’m doing something useful with the money I gain. And yes, it’s true; I didn’t earn the money honestly, since I always used my powers to win in pool or poker. But I don’t waste it. I’ve been saving everything in several bank accounts all over the world. But i never stay in one place for an extended amount of time. But for once, I’ve decided to put that money into buying my own place.
