Chapter One Help Us

Amethyst P.O.V.

I held Pearl's hand as she drifted in and out of consciousness. She looked so peaceful. She wasn't in pain or at least her face didn't show any pain.

"Amethyst. Finally." I felt his hand on my shoulder.

I recognized his voice instantly, Onyx.

I turned around and he gripped my shoulders and made me stand up.

I froze. He should be dead. They killed him. I watched them kill him.

He kissed me. He moved my hand away from Pearl's hand and I pushed away from him.

"What's wrong?" He said still holding my shoulders.

I looked into his eyes. They were supposed to be gray, not yellow.

Terror filled my stomach. He was being controlled.

"What's wrong?" He asked more fiercely. His fingertips dug into my shoulders.

"Your not Onyx. Onyx died. I watched Ruby and BloodStone kill you." I said pushing him away again.

"No, they didn't kill me. They jus-"

I interrupted him.

"I watched them crack your gem into pieces on Yellow Diamond's ship. In their cross fire they killed you, they killed you."

I moved away from him. I let go of Pearl's hand and stood in the way of Onyx and Pearl.

"Amethyst, you weren't even there. You couldn-"

"Peridot showed me. On her monitor. I thought Yellow Diamond took you guys away from me to make me lose hope.....And when I saw that I realized you two left on your own terms. You left me to go fight. You left me to go DIE!!!" I yelled, my emotions got the better of me and I pushed him away from me.

He stopped. I could see something flash in his eyes as he pinned me up against the wall.

I pushed against his chest but he wouldn't move.

"We were forced to leave. Do you really think I would leave you? Do you really think I would want to die?" He said holding my chin up. His breath was hot on my face. His eyes were more yellow then ever.

"Get off of me." I said, trying to push him off of me one more time.

"I still like you Amethyst. I still want to be with you. And we can. Yellow Diamond will forgive you. You didn't do anything. We could go to HomeWorld. We could be a family. We would finally have a home." Onyx said kissing me.

This time I didn't pull back. I still felt the old spark between us. I smiled.

Onyx looked into my eyes. The yellow was fading away. It was going back to the dark slate ink, that I used to take comfort in. I smiled again, the yellow was now completely gone.

Onyx shuddered and fell onto the ground. The blue spear was pulled out from his chest.

I looked up into Pearl's eyes. They were an ice blue. I froze in place, the ice from her eyes freezing me.

The spear dispersed and Pearl hobbled over to her bed.

A long gray chain wrapped its way around her ankle. It threw Pearl to the ground and brought her over to Onyx.

Onyx roared as he threw Pearl across the room.

Pearl hit her bed and fell limp onto the ground.

The sharp blade struck Pearl through her stomach. As he pulled out the blade Pearl went back into her gem.

"I'm done with her always acting like this!!!" Onyx yelled, about to swing the blade down onto Pearl's gem to crack it.

I jumped in the path of the blade. Its sharp metal pierced my gem.

The large crack was made larger. I cried out in pain as I fell onto the ground.

A few purple shards lay down next to my eyes. I moved my hand down to my gem. I traced the crack. It was a large cut made right through the middle. It was almost in two.
