The first week back at school after summer always went agonisingly slow. Thankfully, seeing as they got a new class schedule, he had no classes with Max and the only class he had with Jamie was drama. For the second year in a row he'd got Ms Davis as his drama teacher and he'd never been more thankful because being their form tutor she had heard about what had happened and made sure that in the seating plan Louis and Jamie were as far away from each other as they could be.

On Friday after school he practically ran out of the building and down the hill towards the bus stop. Just as he got there the bus to Harrys house pulled up, climbing on he thanked the driver and headed to the back to sit down. As usual there was after school traffic so it took 20 minutes longer to get to Harrys than usual.

Every time he got the bus he was the only person to get off at that stop, nothing different that day. He came to a stop outside the black front door with the number 25 painted on it in red, the paint was chipping and when he knocked more paint fell off.

"Nice outfit." Liam winked as he opened the door, Louis didn't reply instead stepping forward to hit him in the balls.

A groan came from Liam as he doubled over and backed away from the door so a smug Louis could walk past and enter the house.

"You look hot." Zayn said, pulling on his tie and laughing.

"I know." He replied, undoing his tie and throwing it at Liam who had just recovered and was following them into the living room.

"God I remember when I had to wear that uniform, makes me shudder at the memory." Lex said from where she was sat on the sofa, her legs were stretched out and Niall was laying in between them as she ran her fingers through his hair.

"Yeah well I make it look good so I don't mind as much."

Shimmying out of his blazer he chucked it so it hung over the back of the sofa and toed off his vans before flopping down onto the cushion. He chatted with the four in the living room, telling them about his day and joking around with them. Since he'd been there he hadn't seen or heard from Harry, looking around the room curiously for maybe the nineth time.

"You know he's in his room right?" Niall said with a light laugh, noticing the way Louis was picking anxiously at the loose thread on the cushion.

"So?" Louis replied, trying to hold himself back from jumping up and going to see him.

"We all know you're only here to see him."

"That's not true, you lot are alright as well."

"Lou, just go and see him." Zayn sighed, rolling his eyes.

He didn't need to be told twice, jumping up and leaving the living room to laughter. When he reached Harrys room the door was open and he was sat in the middle of the floor packing a pile of books into a cardboard box.

"Hi." Louis said, jumping over the many boxes and going over to where the desk was to perch on the edge of it.

"Oh hi, how long have you been here?" Harry asked, looking up at him with a smile.

"About half an hour, they were all teasing me for my uniform."

"You poor darling."

"Not you as well."

Harry laughed and squeezed Louis' bare foot because the boy would still not put on socks.

"Are you just going to sit there and watch?"
