Chapter 9: the group

Matthew's pov (during all this):

I got out of the appartement. I talked to Leo for a minute, something was weird about him. Probably should tell Hailee later. I went home just to find Austin sitting on my couch.

Austin: You're here! Finally! You took your time.

Me: What are you doing here?

Austin: I was waiting for you. I needed to warn you about someone. His name is Leo Carey I saw him dancing with Hailee the other night so I wanted to warn you.

Me: Why?

Austin: He has the tendency to use people to his own end.

Me: I'll be careful. Wait I forgot my phone at their house, I gotta go back.

Austin: No need to ask, I'm coming with you.

Maya's pov (now):

Haiden: You missed me?

*flashback*

Hayden was my boyfriend we were happy. We loved each other, we went to libraries, were doing picnics, everything was great!

Hayden: You know there's something that we should do...

He kissed me, pushed me against his bed, he was on top of me...I pushed him.

Me: I'm not ready...

Hayden: Yes you are.

Me: I'm not!

Hayden: No you are.

He continued he kissed my neck, holding me strongly against the bed.

Me: Let me go!

Maddy: Let her go, you lost the bet.

Hayden: Dang it I just wasted 5 months of my life.

Me: A bet?!

Maddy: Yeah he had 5 months to try to fuck you and at this exact moment it's been 5 months.

Me: So I was a bet?

Hayden: Yeah look at you, I mean come on no one wants you. You're useless.

*end of flashback*

Hailee: Who's that?

Me: It's...

Hayden: Her ex boyfriend. I left her before she came to NYC.

Hailee: Oh...

Me: Yes he's the reason I can't with Matthew...*whispering*

Hayden: The girls gave me more time to finish what I started.

He took a step closer to me, at this moment Matthew and Austin arrived.

Matthew: Who's that?!

Hayden: Her ex boyfriend.

Hailee: I don't know what happened but he definitely hurt her in the past.

Matthew saw him coming closer and closer to me. He punched him and got him out of the appartement telling him to never come near me again.

Austin: You two have red eyes meaning you cried. Care to explain?

Hailee: Well she had a...

Me: Nothing.

Austin: Give me your hand. Shaking, trouble talking, seems breath taken... You had a panic attack.

Matthew: Maya is he telling the truth?

Hailee: Yeah he is.

He hugged me tightly. I felt comforted and in security with him.

Me: She went to Leo's house.

Hailee: Yeah, he um...manipulated me. Telling me that he loved me just to...

Austin: to have sex with you?

Hailee: Yes...

As soon as he said that Matthew started getting really angry.

Matthew: He did what?!

Austin: I have a plan.

Hailee: It has to not involve killing or injure someone severely.

Austin: I had a plan.

Matthew: We're going to his house!

Austin: That's a terrible idea! What time?

Me: We are not doing that.

Austin: I hate to admit it but she's right.

Matthew started blasting some music.

Matthew: Come on you love that song. Come on Hailee dance the problems away.

He took her hand but she didn't want to move, I took his hand and started dancing with him. I took Hailee by the hand she started dancing with us, we were all having fun until...

Leo: Open the fucking damn door!

Austin opened the door probably not recognizing the voice behind the floor. Leo entered the appartement trowing Austin on Matthew, he pushed me on the floor and pulled Hailee against the wall as he started kissing her. The guys got up and started hitting him, Austin gave the final punch. I helped Hailee getting up just to find Leo on the floor not moving.

Me: Oh my god! Is he dead?

Austin: He might be.

Matthew checked Leo's pulse, he was alive and breathing.

Matthew: Yeah he's alive.

Austin: Oh what a pleasure *sarcastically*

Austin approached Hailee to hug her but she stepped back, he then grabbed into a really tight hug. She started to break down into his arm. Matthew took me by the hand and took me to my room, he then closed the door.

Matthew: What did he do to you? Your ex boyfriend?

I told him the all story, he grabbed my tight and kissed me roughly.

Me: Why?

Matthew: You're such a fucking good person and I like you a lot. I wanna be with you all the time. So do you wanna be my girlfriend? I swear I can be a better boyfriend then him.

Me: Yeah I do.

He started kissing me while trying to take my shirt off when Hailee and Austin opened the door.

Hailee: Are we disturbing you two?

Matthew: Yes you are.

We got out of the room and want to a restaurant in the neighborhood. We took photos, we danced to the music an old man was making... It was really fun for one night we were carefree dumb teenagers. It felt good. Until I received a phone call from my mom.

Me: Hey why are you calling me?

Mom: i'm coming tomorrow at 6am be ready.

Boy was I in trouble...
