It was an average Wednesday night. It was March and considering England's depressing weather, it was fairly sunny. Grace was 17 and was to anyone that didn't know her, and average young adult. However those who knew her well, knew that she could be crazy and had her own little perks.

Grace had football training tonight, the highlight of her week. Even though she was pretty she had always been a tomboy. As she had gotten older she began to become more 'girly' but she could never let football go.

Grace's team was like family to her and some of the coaches had given her so much guiding advice. She had always had her favourite 'Annie'. Annie was from Leeds and was forever mentioning her cousin Ricky, who was in the famous band 'Kaiser Chiefs'. Grace loved the Kaiser Chiefs and was dying to see them in Glastonbury festival this summer.

Grace's POV

At the end of the training session I saw Annie hugging and talking to a man with fair hair. I automatically thought it must be her boyfriend even tough I had never heard her talking about him before. Then both Annie and the mysterious man walked towards me, in my direction and it clicked. It was Ricky Wilson. My heart was pounding in my chest, I had loved this man and his music for so long and he was walking right towards me! I knew that Annie would introduce him to me because she knew I was going to see him and his band perform this July, for my birthday.

"I'd like you to meet someone" Annie proclaimed. "This is Grace, she's a player here at the team."

"Nice to meet you Grace"

My heart melted when he said my name, I racked my brain thinking of something to say, something that would sound smart and calm. I couldn't help but stare at his gorgeous eyes.

"You too" I blurted out. You idiot, you could of thought of something more intelligent than 'you too'.

He smiled with the corner of his mouth.

Ricky's POV

Annie introduced me to Grace, and I just couldn't keep my eyes off her. She was stunning, even though she never had any make up on or wasn't dressed up to the nines. I admired everything about her. Then I thought to myself get a grip Rick, shes what 17,18 your far too old for her. And why would she have a crush on an old man like me.

Annie had to go help some kids taking down a goal, so I stood with Grace.

"So how long have you played for Annie's team" I asked, starting up the conversation.

"For 11 years now, I started when I was 6. I felt comfortable straight away, Annie's has a way with you like that" she answered. And she was right as well.

"Yeah! She sure does."

Grace and Ricky chatted for what seemed like ages. They were interrupted when Annie appeared.

" I've got to stay and sort some things out for a tournament coming up, Ricky I was supposed to give Grace a lift home you wouldn't mind would you?"

" Of course not. " Ricky jumped to the thought, he wanted to find more about Graces life.
