Wildest Dreams (Taylor's Version), [0:20] - I thought 'heaven can't help me now.'

-

Saturday.

Jennifer found herself waking up in a surprisingly good mood at eleven o'clock in the morning after her night out with David. Even though she got home at one in the morning last night, she slept surprisingly well. The girl didn't even mind that she was running abundantly late to her brunch with Courteney and Lisa.

Jennifer was the one that suggested where they were meeting after Lisa had said she wasn't really a brunch-kind-of-person. Jen can recall her saying earlier this week, "why eat one meal when you can have two and eat them two hours before and after that 'brunch' meal?" while Matt, overhearing this as he walked past the girls' conversation, nodded in agreement. She then shook her head in a good manner at how good of a point the blonde had made, but still invited her to the try the brunch.

While reaching into her purse to obtain her car keys, Jen had suddenly realized that she left her car at the Warner Brother's parking lot and never got to take it home as David's car was her form of transportation last night. She then called for a taxi as she made her way to the café, planning to get her car back on Monday.

She saw Courteney sitting down with Lisa and rushed over to them, saying excuse me to people that made it hard to get by.

"Finally! What took you so long?" Lisa said as she got up to hug Jen, followed by Courteney.

"So long?" Jen looked at them with confusion, as she pulled away from her hug with Courteney.

"Yeah," Courteney started, "you should've invited us for lunch instead of brunch if you were going to arrive at 2PM," she joked.

"Well, I'm here now," Jennifer gave them both a warm smile as all three of them read through the menu. "What have you girls talked about so far?"

"The show," Courteney replied.

"Oh! Which reminds me," Lisa said, putting her menu down to look at the girls excitedly. "While I was gathering my stuff from yesterday's table read, I overheard Marta and David talking about how the set was ready for us to stroll around in on Monday."

Courteney and Jennifer widened their eyes and looked at each other with content expressions. "That's great!" Jennifer said as she clapped eagerly.

"I wonder what it looks like. So far, we've only seen the sketches of the apartment," Courteney said continuing to look at the menu.

"And our dressing rooms!" Jen said as she got more excited.

"Oh my god, yeah!" Lisa said dragging out the last word like she was longing for it.

Jennifer wasn't going to lie, the first person she pictured inside her dressing room was the guy she spent last night with. She never pictured them doing anything inappropriate, but he was always in her daydreams and imaginations since she's met him. By now, Jennifer was aware that this was a small crush that she would never act on.

A waiter got to their table and asked politely as the three of them told him what they wanted. They ate in silence, having short conversations in between. Shortly after they paid for their meal, Jennifer invited the girls over to her house to hang out as she did not have any other plans for the day.

The three sat in her backyard with lemonades as they talked more about their personal lives than the show. After talking about Lisa and Courteney, the two eventually directed the questions at Jennifer, continuing the topic they started at brunch.
