Battle of Gods

A few years pass and the coming of age for Trunks, Raunch, and Goten is close. They're coming up on 13 years of age, and their parents are all planning the biggest party. Daikon, Mully, Pan and Bulla are just reaching 4 years of age now. However, Kakarot gets a message from Elder Kai that Buu has been reborn, but this time, he's a young man named Uub. He's going to be in this year's Budokai Tenkaichi.

This was huge news, since the tournament was going to be a week after the big party. Kakarot, with the blessing of his beloved wife, heads out to the tournament and signs up, wanting to fight just Uub. The first round turns up and Kakarot and Uub come across each other. Uub is quite strong, and shows a ton of promise, and once he's seen enough, he forfeits, promising the boy training later on.

Kakarot watches from the stands after, seeing Uub go all the way to the end, and win the whole pot! The money was used to help his village, to build up wells and buildings. Then, later on, Kakarot comes over to the village as promised to help train the boy, helping to turn him into a strong warrior.

Kakarot stays in touch with his own family of course, and once Uub's year of training is complete, Kakarot comes home. But as he does, a huge event is beginning to unfurl elsewhere in the universe. An ancient deity is rousing from his sleep, and a mean old group is forming.

On the other side of the Universe, the God of Destruction, Lord Beerus is finally waking from his sleep. His Angel Attendant Whis is helping to get him back into things. First thing he does is speak to the Oracle Fish, getting caught up on the universe, and all the terrible things that have happened...almost solely on Earth.

Meanwhile, on Earth, Pilaf and his gang of do badders have managed to stumble upon a cave, with an ancient, horrible secret inside of it. They have found the Black Star Dragonballs, and they begin to hatch wild ideas. Back with the group in Capsule Corp, Bulma comes rushing from her lab to inform the group, "The Dragonballs are missing!"

With that news, the gang begins to hunt them down again, to no avail. Somehow, someone's not only stolen them, but hidden them once more. That's bad news, as that next week, Elder Kai gives a frantic call down to the group, telling them the God of Destruction is on his way.

Wanting to keep the planet safe, the adult Saiyans head up to Otherworld to wait for him, Kakarot bringing up some Senzu beans just in case. It was a wait, a long wait, what seemed like a week but was really a few hours, and finally, the God arrives. Beerus...his mere presence intimidating Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, and of course, Gine. Kakarot has little memory of the God.

"So...this is what little of the Saiyans remain. I see...well, I heard many things about you few Saiyans, Vegeta, Nappa...and you three." He looks over Gine, Raditz, and finally, Kakarot. "I see no Super Saiyan God among you however, and that disappoints me..."

Kakarot takes stance first, but Gine stops him, stepping up before the God, even if her nerves are on fire. "My Lord, we have no idea what that is..." Beerus squints, and palms a yawn. "Very well, I'll just destroy you, and then that planet you call home."

That's the tipping point, causing Kakarot to rush forth. He quickly gets swatted back, and none of them even see the hit. "You're not destroying my home!" An enraged Kakarot screams, firing into Super Saiyan 2. His new assault does very little to help him, getting launched back into Gine this time. This makes the others get involved now, a right free for all, with Beerus swatting away every strike.

Whis, while this is happening, is thinking up a plan. "My lord...if they don't know about the Super Saiyan God...they might be able to learn it one way or another. We should give them time, yes?" Beerus knocks them all away, leaving them all bruised, except Gine, who stands in front of the others, hopelessly shielding them. "Lord Beerus...if you give us time, we could use the dragonballs to find out how to find this...Super Saiyan God you speak of."
