"Y/N! Wake up!"

Y/N's chest heaved and she shot up from her bed, hitting heads with someone and sending a wave of pain through her skull. She winced and her hand flew up to her forehead, cupping it at the sudden burst of pain. After a moment, she was able to open her eyes and noticed that Yuu was sitting in front of her.

"Yuu?"

He smiled at her. "It seems that you and I will be dorm mates for the foreseeable future. Crowley dropped me off here, telling me that I could share this dorm with you."

Y/N nodded and slumped back against the pillows, pulling up the duvet to try and block out the draft of cool air that was snaking down her back. She shut her eyes and let out a breath of air, trying to relax after the storm of nightmares that she had just escaped from. Or was it really a nightmare? Everything seemed rather pleasant, save the dead boy in the coffin and the blur of pictures that eluded things that were still hidden in the depths of her memory.

"When did you get here," Y/N asked after a moment, pulling one of her hands out from under her thin duvet and running it through her hair.

Yuu shrugged and took a seat on the bed next to Y/N. "Just a few minutes ago. Crowley just dropped me off. Something about me not wandering off." He chuckled, but his face fell a second later. "Are you all right? You looked like you were having some dream when I came in."

Y/N sighed and sat up. "It was nothing. What made you come in here anyways?"

"I was just trying to find a room that wasn't in too bad of a condition for me to sleep in."

"I think the next one over is okay. I can come with you if you want and patch it up a bit. That would probably make it a little nicer for you."

Yuu smiled. "Could you?"

Y/N nodded and quickly shooed the boy out into the hallway so that she could grab her robe. After securing it tight around herself, she wandered out into the hall where she found Yuu leaning against one of the stronger parts of the wall. The two headed down the hall to the next room, and true to what Y/N had said, it was certainly in better condition than most of the other dorms.

"It's not as bad as I thought," Yuu muttered, taking a seat on the bed. A small cloud of dust spiraled up from the bed and into Yuu's face, making him cough violently. He turned to Y/N, who was staring out of Yuu's window.

"It's raining."

Sure enough, the torrential downpour had started, and in one corner of Yuu's room, the water started to drip in through a small crack in the ceiling. He sighed when he saw the crack and walked over to it.

"Think you could start with patching this up?"

Y/N nodded and raised her hand, shutting her eyes in concentration. Yuu watched patiently, expecting something to happen, but to his surprise, it seemed like nothing did. Y/N seemed to notice that something was amok as well, because her eyes fluttered open and she frowned at her hand, tapping her wrist a few times, as if there was something clogging her ability to conjure the magic.

"This makes no sense," she muttered. "I did it so easily before."

Yuu just smiled at the girl. "Maybe you just can't remember how to properly use your magic."

"So like the rest of my memories, I can't remember anything about my magic. Great."

While Y/N continued trying to recreate the feeling that she had when she was repairing her dorm, Yuu searched around for a bucket, eventually finding one and placing it under the leak. It took several minutes before Yuu was able to convince Y/N to give up on trying to perform the magical spell.
