Never Been to LA

I woke up having hands wrapped around my waist. I looked over to my right Brenton was out cold sleeping. I couldn't move that well since his arms wouldn't let go of me.

"Brenton..." I wisphered.. nothing. I poked his shoulder.. "Brenton..." not a single movement. "Babe........" I said starting to get a little louder and I started to move his arms. He made a humpf noise and turned over.. he went back to sleep. At least now his hands were off of my body and I could actually move. I ran downstairs to go get some food and eat out on the patio.. and to look at the BEAUTIFUL ocean view.

I started to brew a cup of coffee.. good old American coffee. My how i've missed it. While it was brewing I was walking around downstairs. I didn't really have lots of time the night before to look around and explore the house. I walked back to the stairs and saw a boquet of roses sitting on the table next to the staircase. I couldn't tell if they were real. I went to touched them and saw a card. I opened the card and it said.

I promise I'm not this cilchè.. but I was wondering if you'd like to go to dinner with me before the premiere tonight?

"Will you?" i jumped looking up at the balcony.

"Brenton you scared me.."

"I know, sorry. I didn't want to interrupt myself and my note.."

I laughed he was so sweet. "I would absolutely love to but, wait, what about your family?"

"Well we can pick them up in a hour from the airport, spend the day with them.. and then just you and I go get dinner together." Now granted I wasn't thrilled to have to see Stephanie.. yet again, but Brenton was SOOOO worth it.

"Alright." I said putting down the note and looking up at him. I heard the coffee pot make a little ding noise which meant it was ready to drink. Brenton came down for some coffee. We sat and talked more about New York City and how I missed it so so so much, he told me that he had only been there once and that we would go someday. I couldn't wait. Sooner rather than later 10:45 rolled around and I had to go get ready to pick up his WHOLE family from the airport.

We got in his car and drove to the LAX airport. I was taking pictures of LA the whole car ride there. We pulled up to the side and had one of the parking attendants put our car in the loading and unloading dock zone. He grabbed my hand and we walked in together. I had on a hat and sunglasses, Brenton had on a hoodie with sunglasses. I was looking around for his sister but I couldn't find her.

"DEREKKKK!!!" Brenton said running to his brother. The whole family was behind Derek his mom and dad and sisters.

"Hey man!" Brenton and Derek hugged each other.

"Sam!" his mom ran over kissing me on the side of my cheek.

"Hi how are you?!"

"Good, good I can't complain!" I said laughing.

"Hi!!!!" his sister Kate said, coming from behind her mother hugging me.

"If you can't tell we're huggers in this family!!!" Kate said laughing. It was nice to be accepted by one of his sisters.. finally.

"Hi Sam." Stephanie said walking with her dad.

"Hi Stephanie!" I decided to break this horrible awkward tension. I ran over and hugged her.

I caught Brenton looking at me and smiling.

"Ready to go everyone?! Steph you've never been to LA, this is yours and Sams first time!"

"Cool!" she said sounding little excited.

"Let's go!" Derek said putting his arm around mine and Brentons shoulder.

All 7 of us piled into the huge black SUV. Brenton and his dad were in the front, Derek, Stephanie and Kate were in the back bench, and me and his mom were in the middle. We pulled into the driveway, everyone got out and grabbed there bags.

"Alrighty.. Mom and Dad get the Master Guest Bedroom, and all of you can choose which room you want. Theres three to pick from." Brenton said.

His siblings ran up the stairs like they were five years old, it was too funny.

"My children, can you tell that my oldest is 29?" his mother said laughing.

"If it makes you feel any better my sister and I do the same thing!" I said laughing.

Once everyone unpacked we all met in the living room.

"Alrighty my loves your father and I have planned the day out." Brenton's mother said. I looked at Brenton, planned the day out? What did they have planned?

"Since it is Sam and Stephs first time in LA, us girls will go exploring and do all the LA things. Boys you can go to Venice or whatever you want to do! And we will meet back here at 5:30 to get ready for the premiere!"

I ran upstairs and grabbed my bag. Brenton came in our room to grab his surf shorts.

"I'm spending the day with your mother." I said looking at him.

"Aren't you excited?!" he asked.

"I guess, but I won't be with you.. I thought this vacation was suppose to be for us."

"Sam you knew my family was coming."

"I know. I know.. I just wish it was you showing me around LA."

"You'll have a blast, they're just like me, just not as great!"

I smiled. "Ill see you at 5:30. I love you." he said kissing my head.

"Here."

"What's this for?" he hand me eight hundred dollar bills.

"Shopping. I would of bought anything you saw if I was with you. This way I still can."

"Brenton, no. I can't."

"Take it. Please."

I hugged him.

"Now go! They'll be leaving soon!"

"I love you."

"I love you too!" I said walking out of our room.

I walked down the stairs. I saw his mother and all his sisters. "Ready Sam?!" Kate said smiling.

"I am." we got in the car. I sat in the back with Stephanie and Kate sat next to her mom.

Our first stop was Rodeo Drive. Chanel, Coach, BCBG, Cartier.. you name it they had it. Brenton had been sending me pictures of him and Derek and his dad that day going on their adventures in LA. As for us girls we crossed the road and stood right next to the sign that said "Rodeo Drive" Brenton's mom got her camera out and took of a picture of us underneath it.

"Smile girls!!" she said.

And just in that moment I felt like I had been home, that Brenton's family was my family. It was my NYC life 10X better in LA.
