High School Crush

Chapter 1

~This is in Zoe's  journal~
New school, new year, "new me" as people would say it. I just moved to Vegas from Arizona. It's a big change due to the fact I lived in a small town. It's 4:45am and school starts at 8. I woke up super early so 1, I could get ready and 2, I couldn't fall back asleep. I have a lot of time to spare so I figured I'd write in my journal. Today's my first day of Freshman year and I am NOT excited whats so ever. I don't know anyone and well I'm the new girl which totally sucks. Plus at my old school I was known as the "shy girl" because I didn't interact with anyone. I don't like people except the 3 friends I had.

Zoe's POV

"Zoe? You awake?" My mother says while opening the door. "Yes ma'am I was just writing to kill some time." I say as I close my journal and stand up. "Oh well okay. Breakfast is in the kitchen! I made pancakes!" My mom gives me this huge cheeky smile and it makes me feel not so worried about today. My mom walks out and closes my door. I grab my journal and put it in my bed side drawer. I look in the mirror. "maybe I should start getting dressed" I mutter as I look at my self and realize I look like total shit in my pjs. After 30 minutes of trying to figure out what the hell I was going to wear, I finally settled on a cute floral dress and white converse. I grab my sweater just incase and my bag. As I make my way downstairs I can smell bacon and eggs. "Wow mom that smells really good" I say when I make it down the stairs. "Why thank you hunny" my mom replies. "Look at my little baby on her first day of high school!" My mom gives me a huge grin and hugs me. I hug her back and give her a peck on the cheek. I look at the time, 7:30am. Shit I better eat fast. I fix my self a plate and start eating. By the time I'm done it's 7:45. "Crap bye mom, I love you" I say while grabbing my things. "Bye hunny have a great first day, love you too!" My mom replies. I go to the stairs and yell "Jacob hurry up or we'll be late!" Up them. "Coming! Coming!" He replies. Jacobs my big brother, he's a junior. I grab his car keys to his red Camero. I jump into the passenger seat and turn the car on. Jacob runs out the door trying to fix his messy brown hair. "Zoe what time is it?" He says as he speeds toward the high school. "uhhh" I mutter while I go to find my phone. Once I find it I say "Shit it's 7:55!". He then speeds up more. I then start to see the school. Once he parks the bells about to ring. "Shit shit shit" I mutter as I run down the halls trying to find my class. I spot a boy and run up to him. "Excuse me would you happen to know where Ms.Guinfield's class is?" I ask in a hurry. He then looks up and my eyes widen. He. Was. Hot. I blush and look away. "Oh yeah, her class is right down there to the right." He smiles and points down the hall. "Thank you so much" I sputter as I race down the hall before the bell rings. I can hear him laugh as I do. Just as I sit down the bell rings. "Oh thank god he helped me" I say under my breath as I put my bag down. "Good morning class my name is Ms.Guinfield and I'll be your science teacher this year."

After the class ends I rummage through my bag to find my schedule. I look at my next class to see it's English with Mr.Chance. It's locker passing period so I decide to find my locker. To my surprise I see it's right next to the boy who helped me earlier this morning. I go up to my locker and try to get it open. To my luck it doesn't budge. The boy notices me struggling and taps me. "Hey need any help with that?" He asks. "Oh uh yeah I can't get it open" I say trying again. "Here let me see" he says grabbing the paper with my locker combo and goes to open it. He opens it his first try. "Thanks for helping me this morning and with this" I blush. "Don't worry about it" he says giving me a smirk. "Names Alex" he says leaning beside my locker. "I'm Zoe" I say smiling slightly. The bell rings and I jump. Shit. "See you in class Zoe" he says grinning as he walks away. I stand there bright red but then remember I have to get to class. I run down the hall greatfull I knew where my classes would be. Finally when I find Mr.Chance's class the second bell rings. Whew I made it.
