Soulmates. Everyone has a soulmate. Although there is such a small chance, everyone always hopes to meet theirs. It was only a coincidence when a bunch of students entered the classroom, soon to realise they were only a few desks away from their soulmate.

One summer night, a girl leans against the pearl stained aisle, staring into nothing but the void. She once grew up realising that her pale white skin and her jet black hair and eyes were not just coincidences. But only the fact that she was born with them. Growing up in such a society from a young age. She burned through many years trying to fit in, which only made things worse.

She slid her hands down the metal rail which shined like a million silver platters, addressing the girl to her location. Although the wallpapers were just as white as snow, they were nothing compared to the girl. As the girl stood quietly in front of the blank wallpaper, to others her skin started to camouflage along with the light blue sky, as her skin was so pale. Many people worried for her, demanding to send her to the hospital. Although their voices were always filled with worries and their panicked tone, it all sounded like nothing but a simple poem to her ears.

Just another day of walking down the streets with a million pairs of eyes fixated on her. Even her walk to buy simple items seemed as if she was about to face the final boss. She relaxes on the bridge of her window, staring into the starry night which shined with not only the stars, but the city lights. Autumn, spring and winter had all passed, now the girl sat by the empty window, admiring the last few memories of her summer. Although it was summer, the sky cried along with her, leaving multiple tear drops on her window glass. She leaned her head against the forgotten tears, and let the rain sing her to sleep.

It felt as she wasn't the only one crying anymore. She enjoyed the company of the clouds, smiling one last time until it was autumn.

Her name was zoey.
